a touch of nervousness briefly passed across his usually confident features as he addressed the third and final member. "...Kalo."
Kalo is a dwarf magnet.
You don't know that.
Maybe Joric is fearful that position as "Most Enthusiastic Member of The Company" is at risk, and views Kalo as a threat?
Maybe Joric secretly hates Torim, and wants to get back at him by wooing his love interest?
Maybe I'm psychic, and knew Kalo wouldn't find the jokes funny, so I made Joric nervous because he wasn't sure if she would laugh?
COME ON GEORGE, DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE ABOUT SHIPPING?

Actually, you're right. At first I thought about creating a dwarven love triangle for teh lolz and dramas, but figuring I would need a better reason, discarded the idea. Then, I thought about it, and I realized that Kalo was actually somebody that Joric might be interested in.
Still, potential drama did play a role too. It is very rare for a roleplay to see an actual love triangle these days... but it does it count as a love triangle if the central point of it is either completely oblivious to both their feelings, or does not feel the same way?
