1) Just one. The guard was just for the intro to show personality.

2) She's able to create and manipulate electromagnetic radiation that would essentially emit directly from her in every direction (she might be able to control the direction in the future) . That spectrum includes a lot of different ideas, but everything is relative to energy.

Radio waves, for example, are on the low energy side. She can 'broadcast' garbage to create interference with radios, or with enough practice, craft a signal to actually talk through a radio.

However, on the opposite, high energy end of the spectrum are x-rays, and gamma-rays (iodizing radiation). In the bio, that's what got her in the lead box. She currently has 0 control of this kind of power, and the "bracelet" she's required to wear is set knock her out cold if it detects dangerous levels.

Infrared is almost right in between in energy level and is basically heat. She used it to evaporate the water off her skin after getting out of the pool.

Wakkace got it, right - except she can do it without the microwave.

Fun fact: 100,000 roentgens is enough radiation to instantly kill someone, as well as partly melt their skin :D

Emo your doing better, and the only thing I would say about your post is you should have ended at the following part because you don't know where the hunter was gonna take you.

I did have a tavern in mind though so you can keep things as is, just another thing to think about in RP is not to skip to much time.

We can continue with your char and the hunter once the others post, because I like to post everything at once so I don't have to look to hard to reference things.

Also your character isn't a diplomat right? He is just there for his own gain (spreading his culture)
