I don't think I'd work well with Not on his thread, as it'd be better to let him work on his ideas however he wants. My thread has over thirty unique races and over twenty unique types of magic, which would be about thirty posts of additional content that would be rather redundant. However, a role-play of which multiple users add ideas would be cool, though my role-plays already allow that. Note that the current Echion thread is not for role-playing, just ideas and world-building. If Not (or anyone else) would like, you can simply copy-paste the content from my role-plays to use elsewhere, I don't mind.

I never thought of mind-magic that creates items, that does sound like a useful idea, albeit potentially overpowered, as you could mentally create a spear atop someone and drop it on him, and kill him like that. I suppose a form of Psionics that allows one to pull out items from other worlds could work, but I have no space to add it anywhere.

Light Infantry allows one to use any weapon efficiently, so if you'd want an archer, Hunting and/or Light Infantry would grant you the prowess of archery experience. Mercantile is just added wealth, so you could use wealth for military/hunting equipment, but the point is that Militia Mercantile just adds military equipment, not true military skills.

You could also turn the ground into lava and kill them by using one of your magiks. Or tie a wire spool to the end of a crossbow bolt charged with an electric ability to zap a person to death. The possibilities are there, and the results are the same.

I suppose a big source of inspiration for this ability would have to of come from the Narusverse (a japanese multiverse containing stories like Fate/staynight) concept of "reality marbles" - the idea that you can reject gods work, and simply make your own will a reality. Of course, then god gets annoyed and begins slowly eating away at whatever you create... but, details.

Surprisingly, there's even a wiki article on mental projection in the "superpower wiki". O_o Some people have too much free time.



Speaking of zapping people to death on wires, it reminds me of a certain someone else with reality warping powers. O_o Mr Chinese Electric Batman, anyone?

I think it is more of an issue of supply outweighing demand than it is something specific with the threads you have created. There are a finite number of roleplayers with a finite amount of spare time, and the older they get the more likely they are to have obligations outside of your generic schooling, wherein after 3PM most teenagers can roleplay until their heart's content. In the short-term you can only hope to strike gold and go for something dynamic, given that we've certainly got no more than fifteen roleplayers, and that's counting the less active ones.

In the long-term we either wait for Jagex intervention, (nothing of substance has occurred since the Noughties so there's little luck there,) go on our own recruitment crusade, (the success of which is debatable,) or accept our fate and enjoy what little time we have together before our particular subforum is shut down. Jagex has outsourced most of the forums uses to reddit and twitter, so it's only a matter of time before they realise Annie and Westenev are the only roleplayers with an active Runescape subscription and the rest of us are just mooching off of their forum. Unless there is an actual, genuine effort by us roleplayers to either pull back old members of the community that have gone adrift or search out new members via other areas of the forums, ingame, other writing communities and real lift, then I'm afraid this is just going to be it forevermore. No, lavamancy does not allow you to turn the ground into lava, it bursts open a magma chamber, and can only be used once every fourth post I think. You could. Yes, the possibilities are there, though such power should be reserved for tier 3, or have cool-downs of some sort, or have limitations (of course, you probably had limitations in mind). Generally, my magic is limited to the user's body weight and size, but higher tiers grant more power.

Such magic would work on the thread, but as I said, I can't add it due to lack of space, but you could submit it yourself if you'd like. Of course, you'd just have to arrange it into three tiers, and work it out however you feel is most balanced to your tastes. However, my role-play won't have a god eating away at your magical accomplishments.

By "god" I didn't really mean a solitary manlike figure people pray to or can interact with. It's more like... mental projections are created out of balance with the current world, so their existence would fade from the world over time. For example, you could create a mountain of gold coins, only for the gold to disappear over time (due in no small part to my snowflake character).

I mean, I could dump this in a bio and expect you to compensate - but I'd rather try building a character who fits into the world rather than a world that fits the character, a feeling I got often from broken world.

Pictures are fun! They had a whole new level to role-playing! I honesty believe that using pictures to exhibit characters, worlds, environments, areas, and whatnot, will add a greater level of depth to role-playing. It's just finding the right picture that takes some time.

Oh OK then, makes sense, not that kind of god. I see, so the stuff gradually fades away.

Interesting, because I often allow characters to be whatever the user wishes, though in Scions, I did add a 16 years of age limit, as this is important for having any chance at physical combat. Eh, I don't really care about my worlds, I have no problem adjusting the role-play to somewhat follow the context of the characters. As for Dirk, I have lots of possibilities in the train he's in, such as he meeting someone from his past, or gets targeted by a hitman, or the relatives of Anja are angry and want answers from him. I honestly don't mind even ignoring the plans I had for a role-play to work with a character.
