Abstract concepts like that as abilities bother me, so I apologize if I'm seeming too inquisitive or accusatory. It's not my intent, and I'm not trying to be a dick about it.
That's what I love about abstract effects; everyone has a different perception, and thus, can perceive of ways to use it differently. My favourite so far is the idea that you could "sever" the concept of a wound, essentially healing your wound by cutting it off. Of course, if you tried it in the literal sense, you'd just make a bigger wound.
So, by all means, I actually prefer the ideas to roll in as the plot progresses.
As for how this character will addle with a persons soul or mind, I imagine it would involve very precise cuts with some form of medium - probably similar to Yato's severance ability in Noragami. One thing's for certain, I want it to be a deliberate action and practised action, not just a simple spell.
