Inferi,
Indeed, a group of teenagers would be frightened by that. He's a blind cripple in heavy armour, wearing a helmet that limits his hearing, and if the visor is down limits even more vision, breathing and hearing, how hard could it be to outrun him? You could literally outrun him by walking.
I think it fits perfectly, considering the themes of fantasy, magic, and the destructive King Buruk (is that the king's name?). Magnulfus is bloodthirsty because his father, the king, is also bloodthirsty. Magnulfus is basically a more brutal version of Buruk.
George,
Indeed, he would be the main attention of most settings. His visor is open, Talia could shoot him in the face and kill him. No, he can't solo the kingdom, his bio mentions he was probably killed in battle by the ancestors of Aylin and Buruk.
I suppose you could say he is meant to be separate from the main group, he could drag himself around through the woods a long distance away yet still follow the adventure, or set off alone towards the Evil Kingdom and regroup later. Even though he's big and powerful, Magnulfus is a blind cripple, I think you are overestimating him. Considering how slow he is, all you'd have to do is run around to his side and ram a blade/shoot a gun into his armpit, where plate armour cannot really cover, piercing his ribs and lungs. Attacking beneath the breastplate, into the groin or liver, would also work. Since he has taken out a few Obsidian Knights, their dropped poleaxes could be grasped.
I was under the impression that the RP takes liberty from absolute realism, as that's always what happens.
