Hm, I was almost expecting an explosion of activity.
Anyways, I tend to make lots of RPs unsuccessfully. In this forum, my Steampunk Americas RP didn't work, my gladiatorial RP didn't work, and I think there are two other RPs of mine that are dead. This seems to suggest historic themes are not popular. I was thinking of a new RP, one that is quite different from everything else we have seen thus far.
I was thinking of an RP that is formed via expressionism, surrealism, emotions, or passion to express something we feel is important in our daily lives. The setting is a modern or post-modern world, mixing the World Wars and a dystopian or Orwellian environment within an apocalyptic fate.
In this world, everything is dark, harmful, polluted, and potentially radioactive. Everyone wears dark or white bandages over the entire body, even covering the eyes, and then a dark trench coat or military apparel or what have you, so that everyone is forced to appear as a faceless, nameless, pointless entity. Each user RPs as such an individual, but is driven or empowered by some sort of emotion, expression, desire, or surreal thought, or some other thought or imagery.
As such, there will be minimal storytelling at first, mixing survivalism, combat, co-operation, and PvP, and a twist: I "intro" each user's character in a certain environment, which the individual must escape or survive or progress. Each scenario will have random events, a time limit (a post can be anywhere from a few seconds to some minutes or longer), a consequence, and a clear sense of direction depending on what happens, though users who are crafty may be able to avoid such a fate or end. Users who "die" will actually come back later.
Basically, this RP idea is a dark, polluted dystopia, of which users RP as a "modern mummy" to survive a dying world, soldiers, radiation, disease, and random events, whilst expressing something that is important for the user's real life.
