I have to wonder, given the similarly mysterious backgrounds, is Xau-Tak a replay of what Zaros could have been in-canon? A malevolent god with an unknown past, who conquers worlds at the drop of a hat, toys with prophecy and 'fate', and has less savoury plans for the World Guardian...

I mean, if you don't nit pick, they're about as similar as Saradomin and Armadyl. Which is to say, pretty damn close.

The main difference, as I see it, is that Zaros has a legion of players at his back and Jagex in his pocket... while Xau-Tak has seven seas worth of Inferi at his beck and call!

Why do I feel like a Zaros vs Xau-Tak fight will just be a repeat of Zaros vs Lorenab? Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.
