The closest we ever got to a Romance RP was that one time when George decided to create a harem thread set in a school for super powered kids.
It died immediately.
Also, Romance always struck me as a pretty bland genre. Any genre can have a romantic subplot. If you make it the focus, then all the cool stuff ends up getting pushed to the side or deleted entirely.

Do you think so, West? Maybe you should tell everyone again just to make sure we know
I dunno if that's really the main problem, though. For me, personally, I don't find the idea all that interesting. As a main driving factor, it's lacking a lot of what I want to have.

Oh, they were all the rage back in the day. Well obviously they weren't advertised as 'romance roleplays' because back then we had an actual moderator presence. Any and all school threads were romance roleplays hidden in plain sight, and similarly a lot of inn threads tended to be romance roleplays as well. Their persistent use of the time-skip and the, "lets take this ingame," lines were legendary.
I think my main issue with having a romance roleplay in this day and age is that I know everyone. Like, Inferi can try all he wants to be a fifteen year old seductress attempting to exploit my old money heritage, but at the end of the day I'm not going to be able to forget that that's Erik trying to talk me out of my finery.
This is in fact a double bluff, and I am eagerly awaiting Inferi's attempt to get me out of my finery.
