Dark Souls is, on my opinion, one of the better games that's been made.

It's not the best or anything, but it's certainly unique and I liked it. Or at least the first half - in the second half the game had lost a lot of its spark and the bosses became easy (I defeatef Four Kings, Nito, Seath, and Gwyn all on the first try. I had only looked up what equipment I should bring and was unfamiliar with their attack patterns.)

Anyways, I just beat it today. But I raged like hell when I accidentally got the Dark Lord ending (I was playing as a lawful good character and the only person I murdered was the cleric knight at Firelink, which I had a good reason for.) I didn't see the bonfire in the middle and assumed it was in the next area or something.

Yes, I now know what happens when you link the Fire, but I would have preferred that ending. Now I'm playing through it again as a pyromancer just so I can be like: "Live by the fire, die by the fire! WOOOSH!"

Anyways, it's a great game, but it was a poor design choice to make The Fire entirely identical to every other bonfire.

If the monsters are overpowered, you need to get better at the game.

Agreed. The game isn't difficult once you know the mechanics. And in truth I just don't understand the hate for certain areas. Like Blighttown - The giant ******* at the start were the only things which caused me any real trouble. Once I got past them, I made it all the way to the bottom in a single run. Or the Anor Londo archers, which I managed to get past without dying once.
