As an alternative solution, maybe the shipment is parts for said death ray - being delivered to Ibanian government to retain plausible deniability while also recording test data during their upcoming civil war. This would probably attract the attentions of the Mafia and the Black Hand.

The situation is further complicated since it's the Americans who will be implicated if they're caught - leading one to wonder, just who would be profiting from this operation? Not the American Government, unless the stereotypical CIA are willing to burn a cell - saying several members abused their positions for personal profit.

In such a scenario, I'm not sure how the Mafia comes into play however - maybe a gambit pileup? Or maybe the Mafia decided they would be better off with the Death Ray than escort pay.

I'm not quite sure how to meld the two ideas together. Lucky that isn't entirely my job. :P


EDIT: Or maybe you didn't intend for the death ray to come into action yet, which would be a sigh of relief. As you can tell, conspiracies have never been my speciality.

I have introduced two things to the RP element of Negotius; a romantic twist in the dealing with the Nag*, and one nasty piece of work in the form of a villainous Cambion named Judeccus. The romantic side I will show a bit at a time, but it factors in Negotius' plans to protect his enterprise, while Judeccus is looking for a way to mess up his plans and kill him, thereby eradicating the legacy of the Judiciars. Kinda. I've been working on my RP situation for nearly 2 weeks on As Demons Weeping, and this is still my first time RPing. I also made my first story, The Ash Goblin, a month ago and plan to adapt it along with other stories I have and will make into an RP about a final clash on the Cursed Archipelago. It's your call West. Users are free to add their own content/storylines/subplots/etc. The easiest solution would be to keep suspense and mystery involved, to uncover later.

We could get the CIA involved, too. Basically, the smuggling has lots of money involved, and there will be greater things uncovered along the way which I will keep hidden, for surprises.

Eh, don't worry about anything. You do whatever you want, and I will supplement added content with my own plans, and we'll see what it all leads to. Although people tend to like reasons and motives, they can remain dark and murky for now.

The Death Ray is not yet functional, at best a prototype, or disassembled as you mentioned.

Laser, if you can, get grinded turmeric, put a tiny bit of the powder in a cup, pour hot water, mix, and drink when ready. Turmeric tea is anti-inflammation and helps against pain.

Ancient, I don't see how your new posts have much to do with the main plotline of the RP thread. You are free to work on it, but you are essentially posting a story in the thread that does not lead towards the goal of the RP. The purpose of an adventure for each continent is to seek out and kill the arch demon of said continent, so you must work towards that in some way. The important hints mentioned by Inkeyes (a paperdemon) said that every arch demon has a vessel (anything that can contain some blood) which holds some blood of the Demon God, a kind of proof that they are a true arch demon. I will preform a shortcut and get Inkeyes to teleport to Negotius and later Judeccus (I am surprised the princess doesn't flee from him in fear) to inform them of what needs to be done. In case you are working on new posts, I will wait for you to make one more post before getting Inkeyes involved.
