I know you were upset the other day Lasky when I said Joric wouldn't be made into a god, but thinking about it you should be glad. Given that Engelain has a god-ban, Joric would essentially be retired from all further roleplays hosted by me, except for y'know, sending random visions to people, trying to convince them that there is a Pun God and that he needs your jokes. What if he went out and created his own world?

What if he offloaded all that extra god magic onto every character I ever made so that he could return to Engelain extra powerful?

What if he punched Janus in the 'nads and forced his way back into the world?

Fun fact: The twist ending to Adventures of Joric Ironfist was actually going to be Joric obtaining godhood, only to be killed, and have his essence scattered across dimensions, so that in each one he would be re-incarnated exactly as he was before godhood, and in each one would suffer the same tragedy of losing his village to a cave-in. It was basically going to be his origin story that explained how he was able to exist in so many roleplays. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Well then he could do whatever he wanted on there. Though given that Joric has no magically inkling whatsoever, it would probably take him a very, very long time to figure out how to control godly magic.

Well of course you could do that, but I'm not sure if Joric would do that. Seems a little metagamey, but at the same time, I doubt Joric's becoming a god any time soon so I'm not going to fret over the possibility presented here.

Well, Janus would be very sad, if he has reproductive organs. Sadly it's a magical barrier, so punching Janus wouldn't change that.

Basically, whenever I found the time to write it, I could not come up with any good ideas.

I can think up a setting and an ending no problem, as well as a few plot twists to have at certain moments, but actually getting to those plot twists and ultimately the ending is a struggle.

The idea was a bit ridiculous to begin with, tbh, and I don't consider it canon for any depiction of Joric. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

Yeah, I feel you. I do have a story up on here that I posted when the forums merged, and I've written a fair few chapters that I've not uploaded to it. Laziness is my main vice, as always. I've also got Tales of Engelain, which is essentially world-building with a little bit of fun thrown in there, but after accidentally posting on ITF when I meant to post on ToE, I've been very wary of adding more content to it.

Besides, I have a side project which I think might aid in discussing the backstory more than Tales of Engelain can. Hags be hagglin', gods be god damn crazy, it's all happening ogre at Into The Fire

On an unrelated note, Joric's shield is once again endangered.

I'm not quite sure what Annie did about the collapsing Bed and Breakfast. Is she currently holding the building up, or did she have the debris fly away, which would likely cause it to land in the streets and on surrounding houses? That's bound to cause a disturbance. In the former case, it would be extremely dangerous for Joric to go up there and retrieve it, and also unlikely that Annie would hold it up for him. In the latter case, picking through the rubble might be difficult when guards are descending upon them. Beneath the gold, the Bitter Steel.

I was meant to put in an addendum to Champion's Guild where Federico refunded your shield, but it slipped my mind.

Lasky, did you read the posts I wrote in response to Ubaid, entitled The Temple? I need to know so as to know whether or not I must re-describe the interior and people present.
