~ Seven Years Later ~
A fairly well dressed man strolled into the bar. He had a paper in his hand and a stumped look on his face. It seemed he was looking for someone, but sadly for him the local tavern in the Village of Seers, The Forester's Arms, was packed this afternoon. After all of the locales and wandering adventures came in it made it quite a challenge to find someone. Deciding on the only possible course of action he knew he started walking around from table to table asking the occupants a question. After three tables he came to what he was looking for.
Two men were seated at the table each of them looked to be in their late teenage years. The one to the left had dark brown hair with very little order to it and was reclining back on the bench he was seated in. His outfit was not much to talk about, and consisted of a plain beige shirt and some light brown, baggy pants. The man to the right had on a hood which covered his entire head. A little bit of his dirty blond hair peaked out from under the hood as well as his nose and mouth. This man looked more like a well established forester with a finely sewn, brown leather chest over a green tunic and matching leather pants. Strapped to his back was a short bow made of what looked to be maple wood, and his quiver of arrows was attached to the hip of his right leg, which indicated that he was right handed.
Both of the men had a frothy beer sitting in front of them which looked like they had only been touched once. The entire scene seemed awkward to the man who approached them. "Either of you know a man named," the intruder paused to look at his paper, "Tosh?" The man to the left turned to face him.
"If by 'Tosh' you instead mean 'Tash', then yes, I do know of him." The kid smirked. "Now what do you want with him?"

The older man let out a sigh of relief. "So then it's pronounced with an 'ash' sound. Anyway, I'd like to ask a favor of Tash." The man on the left side of the table motioned to his companion opposite of him with a wave of his hand, and the man tossed a small bag across the table. The bag made a jingle as it was caught and his companion then stood up from the bench and left. "I guess I'll sit down then."
"Alright, so for starters I'll ask the obvious. How'd you find me, and what do you need me for?" asked the man still sitting at the table who now identified himself as Tash. He ran a hand through his brown hair in an attempt to straighten it to look slightly more professional.
"I heard people talking about a man who was taking odd jobs involving magic. After a little investigating I found out the name and where you tend to hang out at. By the way, my name's Richard, but you can feel free to call me Rich. As for what I need you for, it's more of a business proposition." Tash sighed and tilted his head down. "Don't think that I'm trying to hire you as a personal assassin. It's more of me being your main job provider. I've happened to have stumbled upon a number of intriguing magical ordeals that someone could look into." Rich reached into a pocket on his pants and placed a plump bag of coins onto the table. "So are you interested?"
Tash held his right palm out over the table and snapped his fingers with his left hand. Instantaneously the bag that Richard had placed on table disappeared and then reappeared in Tash's outstretched hand. "I'll see what you've got to offer."

Rich grinned. "Good. I just so happen to have your first potential mission with me now." He dove back into his pocket and retrieved a folded up piece of paper as well as a few other little scraps, and handed them across to Tash. "I've been keeping tabs on a questionable figure that has been showing up in and around this village. People have been claiming to have seen a dragon around the place, but it's highly illogical that a dragon would have any reason to be around a town like this. And even if one was, it more or less would've torched the whole village by now."
"So what's this got to do with magic?"
"Well it's definitely not a dragon, but it has been seen lighting fire to various things. The actual figure of it was said to be more like a man. Now I can't be sure, but I'm lead to believe that it's actually a magician just messing around with some dangerous fire spells."
Tash took a hold of the beer sitting next to him. "So people have been calling him a dragon because he can use fire magic? It's like they've never seen what runes can do before."
"It isn't only because they've been using magic, but this guy has actually been seen flying with what would look like massive dragon wings." Tash's eyes became wider as he heard this revealing his hazel colored irises.
Tash placed his glass back onto the table. "Now that sounds interesting." He reached over next to him to pick up the sword lying on the bench beside him. The handle was colored orange and the sheath was a darker shade of the same milky orange color. "I'll look into this matter as soon as possible," he announced to Rich as he stood up from the table.
"That's a rather curious looking weapon you have there. May I ask where you obtained it?" Rich asked as he also stood up from his seat.
"He came from a litter of seven." With Tash's final statement he turned and left the tavern with his sword slung over his right shoulder; leaving Rich to ponder over his response.

I like the jump in time and apparent shift in main characters; if you do keep with Tash as the protagonist then I think that this could turn out as one of my favorites of your stories, as the direction it seems to be taking appears to be fairly interesting.
Oh, and when Tash was telling the boy about his spells, I had a hard time not bursting out laughing... It's kind of hard to explain, my nin-- err, experimental spells...
