Rosco nodded. "I understand." He witnessed Tash's eyes examining his peculiar outfit with a curious intent. "It's wolf fur from my departed brethren if you're wondering." He delivered the line with a sort of boastful appeal.
"So that would imply that your brethren are wolves? You're certainly in the right spot, since there are plenty of wolves around these parts, but you seem a tad bit out of place apart from the whole thing with you being human." Tash paused to stand up and brush himself off. "And from what little I've heard you speak you sound a little too intelligent to be living with a pack of wolves anyway. Your vocabulary doesn't suit the situation at all."
Rosco(f) quickly hopped to his feet eager to defend his side of the argument. "It's not like I was living out in the wilderness my whole life. I was abandoned by my parents when I was just a little kid. I somehow befriended a pack of wolves when I saved one of their pups who was trapped underneath a fallen tree. After that they just started to follow me around like a normal dog would." He had seemed to have won over Tash's belief, which was not very doubtful of the matter to begin with.
Tash strolled over to the fire pit in the middle of his humble camp. He had a couple of fish roasting on it that he had caught a short while earlier. He plucked out one of the sticks that a fish was stabbed with from the ground and offered it to Rosco while he took another for himself. Soon enough they were both sitting by the fire gnawing on cooked fish.
"So now that I know a brief segment of your history would you mind filling me in on how you got your current injury and how you found your way to my camp?" Tash asked after he spat out a fish bone that he had nibbled out of his meal. "I generally only see a wolf up north in the Fremennik territory, yet I'm all the way down here only a short walk from the nearest town. Rather odd for you to end up in this neck of the woods."

Rosco finished his fish and began to roast the twig with bones on it over the fire. "Well actually I got injured way up north. Big bear attack got the whole pack. I took a slash to the arm and stumbled into the river. I woke up a little bit north of here and randomly found your camp and then you found me." He let go of the burning wood before the flame caught to his hand. "And now I have a question for you, what's with all of the bags you've got in your tent?"
"They're full of runes."
"Runes?"
"Well I can't really expect you to know anything about them." Tash tossed his skewered fish skeleton into the fire. "I, myself, found out what they can do only about seven years ago. To begin with, I should probably get some to show you." He stood up and dashed off to the tent soon returning with a pouch in his left hand. He sat back down, stuffed his right hand into the pouch, and revealed a number of the small, coin shaped runes to Rosco.
"Those are runes?" asked Rosco. "Are they some sort of money or something?"
Tash sifted through the runes to try and find a suitable bunch to demonstrate some magic. "Not quite. Runes are actually used to perform magic." He held up some to show to Rosco. "This white one with the curvy lines is an air rune; it represents the element, air, and can be used to manifest those sorts of spells. This one with the white face surrounded by orange is a chaos rune; it's used in battle magic, and acts as sort of a secondary element for spells to give each a special sort of characteristic." Rosco looked mildly confused. "Here, I'll give you an example. Come over here to the water." They both got up and walked over to the river bank. "Now watch as I send a bolt of air through the water." Tash crouched down to the water's surface and slapped his hands together over it. The resulting air spell shot out across the river, splitting a portion of it as if it were cut off.
