I still need to read this. >.<
Sorry for all the delays with my reviews. Reading a 180 post story and reviewing it is rather daunting for me, which is why I haven't made it past the first one on my list to get to others like yours.

The moon cascaded a beautiful image on the surface of the water in front of Tash. Tiny ripples floated through it, which slightly distorted the image every few seconds. It was the perfect night to be out and about. Tash stretched out his arms and then proceeded to stretch out his legs. "I've got about seven hours until sunrise," he muttered to himself, "but this is all just so much of a thrill! I can hardly contain myself!"
A brisk wind picked up behind Tash to calm his jitteriness. He started to jog back in the direction of Seers' Village now that he had all of his proper equipment. His head was tilted up to keep an eye on the skies for any flying figures. As much as he disliked the overhanging branches from the trees in the little spot of forest he could not help but enjoy how they added to the scene. There were countless numbers of stars, a giant glowing moon, and numerous dark branches bordering the sight.
The lights in the village still remained dim, and the commotion from the tavern had settled down since Tash had departed only a half hour ago. "So I can verify from my own knowledge that this guy's not towards the north of this place, so I guess I'll just start in the southern end." Tash stood in the center of town facing the south. To his left was the court house and to his right sat a group of homes for the locals. Directly in front of him was the forest.
Generally, most people found it foolish to enter a forest in the middle of the night, but if the situation called for it Tash would go nearly anywhere at anytime. His thirst for magical knowledge almost left him in a blind trance.-->(Paragraph continued)

For a majority of the time before his current mission he had been doing fairly mundane things that greatly differed from his original intention. His previous mission was to investigate a supposed "haunting" at a woodsman's house a little ways down the path from Seers’ Village to the city of Ardougne. It had turned out that a witch had planted a grave-robbed corpse in the basement of the home, and the corpse’s ghostly owner had followed it. The witch remained unfound and the claimed necromancy magic turned out to just be some witch’s attempt to get back at young ruffians. But this new mission had rekindled the fire in Tash's motivation.
"Well, no sense in waiting." Tash took a couple paces towards the forest edge to deduce the best entrance. "I could just burn down a couple trees, but not only could that start an entire forest fire, it could also give away my position. I guess I'm stuck with just hoofing it." He retrieved the axe from his waist in case he was to encounter any path-blocking branches and began his trek. The first thirty feet or so went well with no obstructions, and he was assuming that he was still going directly south, but now he had come to a dead end. A wall of thorns cornered him in from the front and both sides, yet this was an easy fix. Contrary to what he had said earlier about using fire to burn himself a path he pulled out a small collection of runes. A few chaos, fire, and air runes rested in his palm to form a low level but efficient fire spell. He clapped together his hands and shot out a diminutive ball of flame to scorch away the opposing growth. Since it was a low concentration of magic, it only managed to burn away an opening and leave little singed ends on the rest of the thorn patch, which was just what Tash intended to do. "These past seven years have left me with a lot of time to practice magic use. It's amazing what I've learned." He stepped past the former obtrusion and continued on his quest.
