“Don't cry, dear. Now, listen to my last request...take the fragment..to the Head Druid...Taverley. Ask him about..restoring..Infinitus.” croaked Alder's mother. Then a light appeared to fade in her eyes and she moved no more.
“Wait! What is this Infinitus you mentioned?” asked Alder, shaking his mother's body but to no avail.
Alder wiped his tears, and began to dig a grave for his mother. He buried his mother, made a tombstone for her using Earth spells and took the fragment.
Without a word, he looked up at the sky and teleported away.
A few hours later, Alder was in the house of the Head Druid, and spoke of the events which occurred.
The Head Druid was covered in white robes with a green trim. He had a long, white beard and was bald.
“Very well. I hope your mother rests in peace and that she finds solace in the Afterlife.” said the Head Druid. “Now, you told me that you do not follow any God Why is that so?”
“A few years ago, King Lathas falsely accused my father of slipping poison into the his drink. At that time, my father was a guest in his castle. Then, my father was put into prison and was executed a few days later. I prayed to all the gods before the execution day, and I was told by many others, that the gods will help you if you pray to them. Nothing happened.” spat Alder.
“I killed King Lathas later, for he was a Zamorakian and was attempting to take charge. I had discovered the evidence and had shown it to the people of Ardougne, and killed Lathas, getting my revenge. Then, King Primus took over, who was a minister previously.”
“I see. However, the gods are not allowed to interfere directly in this realm. That was what Guthix decided. Although he is imprisoned, his power and edicts are still being followed as they have a cataclysmic effect if a god doesn't follow it.” said the Head Druid. “However, given the choice, which god will you follow?”
“I would follow the God who would help me.” said Alder.
