The Great Wall of West Ardougne
I sat, listening to the moans and last breaths of death coming from the other side of the wall, but because I could not speak, there was no use in doing so. Every day, I heard this, as well as hearing discussions from the tower right near me.
And what did they talk about, you ask?
"We've found the cure to the disease, sir!" One exlaimed (I cannot see, so no description can be given.)
"What is it?!"
"It's simply every herb ground and their dust place into one vial to fill it halfway, and then the rest filled with the water from their sewers."
"It doesn't sound appealing. Attention, men. Do not let the news of this break out. Actually, the two of you already know enough."
The sounds of struggling followed this man's conclusion of the conversation, and I'd assume he killed them because they knew the cure. I was still listening to moans and cries, feeling helpless beyond belief as I sat with knowledge of the cure.
And I will never be able to spread this news. Who knows, I'll probably sit here thinking about this one simple thought until my brickwork rots and I crumble to the floor. I wished to have a mouth, I wished to be the saver of Ardougne...
But I knew it would not work. In fact, there were always Adventurers stealthily sneaking over my walls in the hopes of finding a cure as well, so perhaps they'll save me the guilt.
Oh, wait, a crow has just landed on several of my spikes. Mmmhm, it's blood is trickling down now...Finally, some refuge from this sun. Do you think I'm getting anything of a tan, reader?
