“Let’s play some games,” suggested Mike. Mac nodded and went through a door. I frowned and followed. 2 Marble Blocks of Stone stood at the back.
“I challenge you, Stephen, to a game of block destroying,” challenged Mac.
“Me?” Stephen gasped, but walked over to a marble block and raised his sword. Mac yelled, “3! 2! 1! Go!” Stephen swiped fiercely at the block of marble, but Mac won by a landslide, sneering with victory.
“Something seems wrong here,” spat Stephen. Mac turned to Cameron.
“How about you, my friend? You seem to be a good archer. Want to range?” Mac asked him. Cameron backed away.
“No. I’d rather not,” he shuffled his feet.
“I won’t take no for an answer,” Mac said sternly and pulled the ranger forward. Cameron gulped, raised his bow, and waited for Mac’s signal. Instantly, the duo shot arrows at a red, black, and blue archery target. At last, the arrows ran out. Cameron had hit the bull’s-eye all but one time. But Mac had gotten 100 %.
“Too bad,” grinned Mac and then turned over to Mike. At last, Mac turned to me.
“Let’s play jester,” he smiled. I nodded, determined to finally beat this slimy man. I followed Mac past a gold chest to a stone ring.
“On!” Mac yelled and a jester in bright clothing appeared, grinning brightly.
“Copy his jesters. Whoever fails loses,” Mac explained. I nodded. The jester raised his leg. I raised mine. Mac did the same. Next, the jester did a little jig. We struggled to follow the jester’s gestures and orders and dances, but we survived for a very long time. Stephen watched intensely, his fingers crossed. I bowed. Mac bowed. I danced. Mac danced. I cried. Mac cried. I leaped for joy. Mac danced. There was a crack as the jester laughed, “Mac, you lose,” before disappearing. Mac swore angrily and kicked the wall. I grinned at the man's childish upset.
“Good job,” Clare congratulated silently.
“I actually beat him,” I whispered.
