Suicide is a serious thing. If someone is depressed, talk to them. Don't just say, "Oh well it's their life", or "He'll be fine."
No, it won't be fine. If someone talks about suicide, you make damn sure you get help for them. There are many websites you can visit and numbers you can call if you are faced with that kind of situation. When something tragic happens, killing yourself won't make it better, just worse for the people who know and love you. If you feel like you are so depressed that you just don't care if you live or die anymore, tell someone. There is too much in life to miss to kill yourself. Nothing is worth it. Talk to somebody.
