Costume:

History: Kibou is a stereotypical Japanese-descent fellow: a loyal, dutiful, disciplined, well-mannered, educated workaholic of Central City who reads like crazy, and lives alone. He works as a... librarian, but also practises historic martial arts on his spare time. As a librarian, he is mostly disconnected from the troubles of the world, unsure of what to do, be he wishes to make the world a better place.

During his training and study at home, he realized that something odd happened to him one day. Mechanical noises sounded, as if echoing out of his own mind, and that was how his Power revealed itself. His quest became clear: create a super cyber suit. Perhaps he was watching too much anime, or playing too many video games, but the Power was clearly real, and placed him above most humans. His Power allowed him to create a cyber o-yoroi suit, as well as two cyber blades.

Power: Supernatural inventiveness; this allowed him to construct a mechanical suit, known as Ishida 33. He stores it at home.

Anything else: Although deadly in upclose situations and fights, Ishida 33 does not grant any ranged capabilities, and due to the solid nature of his armour, Kibou is not as flexible or agile as others would be in movement.

The menpo provides vision in infrared.

All equipment is made of titanium, and so is very light and stronger than steel. Considering the thickness of the armour, he is probably bulletproof from most conventional firearms.

Due to the mechanical nature of Ishida 33 aiding his biomechanics, the suit allows him to perform supreme feats of physicality, granting him increased speed, precision, hardiness, and strength. For example, despite being armoured, he can run forty up to 45 km/h, which is 12.5 metres per second, or forty-one feet per second. He can wield his cyber katana in both hands, or along with his cyber tachi in his other hand.

Appearance:
Her skin is of a pale complexion, a bookish set of glasses sitting upon her bubble nose. From her sockets shine eyes of a brown tint, from her freckled cheeks a brave stepford smile. Atop her head sits a shoulder length of auburn hair.

This is the appearance of Mallory, a lithe and unassuming 5’6” honour student sporting a B-cup chest. Her wardrobe consists of few unbranded labels, all the while keeping a “modest and trendy” vibe. She will always wear a glove on her left hand to hide the scar of a third degree burn.

Costume:
“Mithril” will wear functional cosplay, because wearing just one outfit is unhygienic. She will use a variety of wardrobe changes such as makeup, clip-in wigs, accessories and the like in place of a mask.

The first outfit will be inspired by a certain anime heroine, complete with pale foundation, red-tinted contacts and platinum blonde strap-in wig tied in a long-fringed bun.

History:
Being raised as a single child in a rich and influential family of Central City Pharmaceutical CEO’s would pave the way for the easy life, right? Well, not for Mallory, who often spends her suppers alone.

It wasn’t always this way, for she was not the kind of child you could leave unsupervised. She would get injured without complaint, and her skin would turn funny colours for no discernible reason. Once, her hand even caught fire, to which she could only gaze in curiosity as everyone panicked around her.

It took a few years, but Mallory came to learn she was different from everyone else. Unlike them, she could not feel the sensation of pain.

Mallory would eventually get better with the help of a cutting edge drug, allowing her to develop a sense of normality just in time for the train wreck that would be teenagehood. She worked hard in her studies, and even took up Gymnastics – though she wasn’t all that good at it, she did enjoy the dress up. This, alongside anime and comic books, became something of a closet addiction for when she wasn’t studying or baking sweets.

It’s all an illusion though. Mallory knows her friends talk behind her back at school, that people around her only act nice because she’s the CEO’s daughter, that anything less than perfection would make her parents worry more than they should. They had important work to do for the city, and Mallory wasn’t sure she would ever be of use. Life beyond going to college seemed like an empty pipe dream…

… But, still, she trudged on. There had to be something only she could do for this city her parents cared for so much.

Powers: UNLIMITED BLADE WO- No, I plan to be somewhat original here. Mallory’s abilities are focused around temporarily projecting any item she can imagine into physical form. The only limitations on what she creates is the complexity of the job and her belief in what she creates. The created objects are strengthened by belief, and fail when doubted.

Appearance: In terms of appearance, Aly is very much a tomboy, and in fact it would be more accurate to say that she has been pretending to be male in public for most of her life. She keeps her hair cut short, likes to wear “boyish” clothing, and even goes as far as to tape her chest down so that it appears flatter than it actually is. Typically, she also wears sunglasses, hiding as much of her face as she can without looking suspicious at all.

Her hair is a sandy color, and hardly ever gets grown out at all. The eyes on either side of her smaller-than-average nose are a light blue, and although she had been cursed with freckles for most of her childhood there are only a couple that remain. Average in height - although short for pretending to be male, and something else she got made fun of a bit for - Aly is 5’4” and weighs about 118 pounds.

Although she tried to be an athlete, she was never much cut out for it, so although she is mostly in shape she isn’t really “built”. Sporting skin perhaps half a shade darker than average, Aly tends to only be tanned in the style of a “farmer’s tan”, which is to say, only on the lower half of the arms, legs, and from the neck up. Because she almost always wears a shirt for obvious reasons, it tends to get in the way of tanned skin.

Costume: Her costume is, put simply, a fancy suit complete with a top hat. The suit coat fits into the category of “morning coat”. Apart from the hat, everything about the suit is handmade, which took a very long time for her to actually get done right. This is mainly due to the fact that she doesn’t have enough money to buy an actual suit like this one, although most people would probably say that the quality of her own is actually a bit higher. It’s only the material that would make it less so, as the quality of construction is exceptional. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Unlike a standard suit, though, Aly made hers white as a primary color, including the vest under the coat, with the shirt under the jacket light blue. The tie that goes with it is a solid darker blue, and the shoes, running sneakers that she did her best to color and change so that they look more like they belong with a suit, are fully white in color. Also, to add a bit of dramatic flair to her costume, she also made herself a cape, which is white on both sides and reaches about down to the backs of her knees.

Her mask is designed to imitate that of a fancy masquerade party, and is white with gold trim. It covers her entire upper face as well as her nose, and she does not believe that it is necessary to cover her mouth as well. It is held on securely by a strap that goes over the top of her ears and around the back of her head. The sides of the mask actually cover most of her ears, though, as they are winged and extend most of the way back around her head.

History: Although she came from a supportive and loving family, Aly could never have been said to have had a lot of money available to her. Her parents both had fairly low-paying jobs, and although they didn’t exactly struggle there wasn’t much more than the essentials that they could afford.

Originally from Central City, Aly grew up with a couple things about her life that were different from the norm. For one, she was taught from a young age that things would go better if she pretended to be a boy, and that became an intrinsic part of her life. She also, while knowing that the crime wave was beginning to happen, didn’t have to experience it personally. Her parents never told her why, and she didn’t know enough to ask. Up until her family moved away, around when she was 13, Aly lived what was essentially a double life. To everyone she knew, she wasn’t Aly with the real name Aliendra, but was Aly with the real name Alistair. It was something she got made fun of a bit for, both because her name sounded somewhat feminine and she also had feminine features. Neither of those were things she could really do anything about, but since she was able to avoid any situations where anything incriminating would show up she managed to act the part fairly well.

It wasn’t until she was home that she was able to be “herself”, although she naturally couldn’t help but wonder, as she grew older anyways, which personality was the real her. On occasion she thought about telling her closest friend, but never worked up the courage to. To think that everything she was might come crumbling down was a terrifying thought, and it was much easier to simply pretend.

Even after they moved, Aly kept up somewhat of a facade. She didn’t exactly hide it, but neither did she advertise the fact that she wasn’t a boy. Many people mistook her for a member of the opposite sex for the entire time she was in school, and even among her friends she was known more as male than female.

The reason she went back to Central City was simple: money. The college programs were cheaper than anywhere else, and she couldn’t afford to go anywhere except there. And so, fully donning her old persona, she left to go back to the city that she had grown up in. Currently in her first year of school, the amount of crime is both shocking and horrifying to the young woman, but she has been unable to even consider anything that she can do about it. Even upon receiving supernatural abilities, they only serve to make others stronger, leaving her powerless without a reliable partner. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.

Power(s): All of Aly’s abilities rely on making those around her better, while providing no tangible benefit to herself.

Soul Link: The primary aspect of her abilities, Soul Link allows her to tether herself to someone else, increasing the effectiveness of everything that they can do. For the moment, this only affects a single person.

While Soul Link is active, the following is in effect:
-Her body turns incorporeal and merges with that of the host, leaving only the singular person as a physical presence on the field.
-She can communicate telepathically with the host.
-Soul Link remains active until she chooses to end it or the host is incapacitated.
-Strength, speed, etc., and even the effectiveness of possessed powers are all greatly increased for the host.
-The host gains a minor regenerative ability, and they can use Aly’s energy rather than their own. This is the only part that she can control whether or not is active.

She also emits a tiny aura that has a diminished effect of Soul Link to everyone that’s in its radius. However, since at the moment it’s only able to affect about a foot around her, she keeps it inactive.

Anything else: She is quite adept at sewing and needlework, but godawful at cooking anything. Done in by the dubious doings of destiny.
