Well, I thought I post a story seeing as I haven't for awhile.
I hope you enjoy it.
Ancient Artifacts

I begin my long, dangerous journey into the wicked place known as the Wilderness. I am going in order to find an ancient artifact, that is rumor to be hidden here. I climb over the white, stoned-wall, the bricks are rough as my hands touch them. As I start going farther into the wilderness, it seems as though the sunlight been sucked out from the sky; because it starts to get darker, each time I go farther in. I smell death and decay in the air; I look around and I see a graveyard, filled with zombies. I know that Clan Wars is at the end of the graveyard, there I can rest. But, first I have to fight through the horde of zombies. I wield my trusted bronze dagger and charge into the graveyard.
The first of the zombies attack me, I stab at its torso, it dies. Three zombies charge at me, their decayed, smelly hands hitting my bronze armor. I strike one zombie in the chest, killing it. I slash one zombie across the chest with my dagger, it takes ten hits to kill it. I finally get through the hordes of zombies. I depart Clan Wars after I rested. I walk around a black mountain, it towers over me like a troll. I stop and think “what if the artifact is hidden up in the apex of the mountain”. I pull out my mithril grapple; I swing it around my head, like a lasso and I throw it up to a boulder. I hear the click and tug on the grapple, it’s holding. I climb up the grapple and I see the apex, so I throw another grapple. I climb up the grapple and stand on the apex.
A creature appears before my cyan eyes. The creature is black with red-eyes and dragon-like wings, carrying a black and brown longsword. I become petrify, as the creature walks closer; I begin to pray to Guthix to help me. The creature swings its sword at me, when a green-light appears around me, deflecting the blow back the creature. front of me, Guthix, I thought.
“Child of Guthix. Why did you climb up this mountain” the skull asked. “My lord, I came to seek the ancient artifact” I replied, kneeling down. “You showed great fortitude. For that, I give you the ancient artifact. I give you mine Godsword!” the skull replied.
A sword appears. The sword has a sharp point, with small points coming out from the side; the sword itself is green. I walk towards the sword and pick it up, a sudden power comes over me and my armor was replaced with green armor.
“Now go Guardian of the Sword, and bring balance to Gielinor” the skull said, and a green light appears around me. Time4Rants RIP Never Forget! 2010-2013, In Memory of Old Timer: ""I'm a doctor, not a spiritual medium!" RIP ;(

Thanks for sharing DragoonRnger. And grats again on your story being in the newsletter!
I want to encourage you all - My current project at work ends tomorrow, so I should be able to post those reviews for the contest soon, unless I am immediately given another project.
In light of the date, it is still Oct 31st here.

Hey guys! Thanks for the bumps.
Sadly, I have somehow managed to continue working beyond what my supposed deadline was. I don't know when this project will end, as such I don't know when I'll have time to finish the contest results.
On another topic, I wanted to invite you all to check out a suggestion thread I've made which should help keep this thread in better order, and offer easier readability to stories which are posted.
You can all check it out here - it's for all of our good.
