the llyetan library isn't succeeding. I think we should close.
I have an idea about a **-wide merge, allowing us to keep our individual guilds, but making a supreme one with no leader: just 10 players with equal status, each running a famous guild.
There would be me, you, the leader of WRS, TAL, Yannilian Library, Opal Quill, Onyx Quill, and that's all I know at the moment.

That is perfect idea! All those guilds/libraries are popular. Want me to contact them and ask? My clan chat BTW.

edit: Just one question. What does WRS stand for?
edit: There is no onyx quill.

WRS == Writers of Runescape.
The Onyx Quill == Died half a year ago.
Hmmmm.... that merge could be really good or REALLY bad. Because if they all merge and we don't like it, it might be hard shifting back to normal.
I don't know, we'll have to meet with all the other leaders.
EDIT == I support what Mitch said to me on SD: The guilds can merge, but the libraries should be kept seperate.

Hey there, Matt. I heard about the idea from Auro on SD, and like I told him, the guild would be alright to merge, but stuff like TYL, TLL, and TSRE (The Story Reader Exchange), should be kept seperate. Only the places that get ranked should be merged in to one big guild. The rest should be kept seperate.
Edit: Then again, the merging of the ranking guilds might not work too well. I'm not sure about it, but if you include the three places I mentioned above, I am 120% against it.

Meh. This idea isn't too good.
The principle is good, but it won't work. I, for one, am against it. I feel as though merging the guilds into one is far too confusing, and it would just become stressful for anyone involved. Each of the named guilds has a different reason for being on the forums, and the merging would remove any originality, and guilds would be even more pointless than they are now.

Capt has a good point there. I might even take back what I said. I never thought of the specific reasons for each guild; most look the same, just with different rating systems.

Take a glance at things like WRS, they're communities, with no ranking system. If we merged, all these would either become ranked, or unranked. Still, no matter what was chosen, some guilds would lose they're original status.
Guilds would mean nothing.
Ranks would mean nothing.
Guilds would fall.
