Balvin did not look enthusiastic about having to leave the cathedral. "Why do we have to leave? Don't you need every man available to fight the vampires?" Vyras shook his head "Less talky, and more walky, you little shit," Vyras teased, "You are too young to fight." he said "Annie's fighting, and don't call me a 'shit.'" Balvin countered. "That's because she is of age and knows how to fight, you can barely shoot an arrow straight; better for you to come with us, little shit."
"I can take on the vampires," Eidric said confidently, "I seriously doubt it, Eidric; I promised your uncle that I'd get you out of harm's way, and I have never betrayed Haegar's trust; nor will I ever. Farth is also in agreement," Balvin looked at Eidric, "Soris, I didn't know you were capable of talking to a woman," Soris frowned. "People have their moments, and you will have yours." he said. "And Eidric, "Even trolls have more of a survival instinct than you, and they will charge a heavily armed warrior. Do you want to be captured like my sister? Or killed?" Soris asked rhetorically.
The two teens fell silent.
Vyras watched the entire exchange. He already picked out Soris as a wise young man for his age. "Wisdom like that will get you far in life, child. Now we wait for the others." he said. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Annie's punch sent Balvin sliding towards one of the limestone stairs where he tripped and fell, but caught himself before any real damage had been done. "YOU BIG STUPID B-" Balvin Said before Vyras interrupted him before he could finish his obscenity. "That's enough!" Vyras shouted, while he tapped his feet impatiently.
There was a moment of silence. "The others," he said to Annie, five minutes of waiting. The others showed up. Kunigas was equipped in a white robe, which he outfitted with a lightweight iron hauberk. His mace was squarely on his hip, and his book of prayers rested in a leather book-holder. His hands were wrapped with linen and further protected with iron gauntlets. Beneath his robe were iron greaves, and boots. He also carried with him an evil looking sword adorned with skull engravings, a hilt made from what looked like half of the arm bone of a human being, and a smooth black stone in set in as the pommel. The blade was concave, and slender. "Love, I brought Likimas. Take the evil thing before I get sick,"
Vyras nodded and took the blade. 'It has been some time since it was used,' Vyras said.
Farth came down dressed in full dwarven plate armor adorned with the seal of his house: The Ruby Esk (which is an animal similar to a deer, except it has three horns and a third eye; it's commonly hunted for meat by the Balvorrik dwarves). He had his axe in his sheathe on his side, and his mace was on his back. In a leather bookholder was his book of explosives, and in a leather pouch on his hip were his terracotta grenades, of which he had seven.
Belar arrived next. She was dressed in black robes with purple inlays. Underneath her robes, she wore a slender chainmail cuirass made of iron. She wore iron gauntlets, greaves under the robes, and iron boots. Her book of prayers was adorned in a leather book holder, as well. Beset on her chest was an amulet that Vyras had gifted her. Next to arrive was Haegar. He was dressed in, his steel helmet, which read "vamp killer" in dried vampire blood, broad steel plate cuirass over his chest, heavy steel greaves on his legs. The pauldrons on the chestplate were shaped like clamshells, he had carved the words "No Blood for you!" onto them steel boots, and steel gauntlets. His battleaxe was worn behind his shoulders. Over the past day, he'd taken to carving tally marks onto his helmet for each vampire he killed.
Though not initially invited, Antonius showed up in a black leather cuirass, lavender colored dyed leather bracers with floral patterns, lavender colored dyed leather, and black leather boots. He wore a black coif over his head. On his back was his two-handed crossbow, and on his right hip, facing horizontally, were his crossbow bolts made of pure silver. " I'm coming, too," He said
"Are you sure," asked Vyras "The cathedral needs defenders." Antonius nodded "We broke Annie out of her cell, I will see her father healed." he said. "Vyras nodded.
Brandr, showed up next. Predictably, he wore no armor, but he came in an easy to remove fur robe and his horned iron helmet. On his back was his long mace, and in he also had in his hand a mug of his battle brew, which he drank. His eyes turned bloodshot "RAAAAAA," he said "Brandr ready! Brandr ready to smash vampires!"

Brimblemir was the last to arrive, for he had business with his elves, which were camped near the cathedral. He arrived in a cowskin leather cuirass inlaid with golden thread into floral patterns with and dyed white. Cowskin greaves died white and also enthreaded into floral pattens with the same material. White cowskin boots without the floral pattern, and gold dyed leather gauntlets. On his back was his bow made from a yew branch, and branded with the shape of a deer on the crest of the bow. On his back, facing horizontally were his arrows.
Vyras took stock of everyone. "Are we ready anything and everything?" he said everyone nodded "Then we're off" Vyras said, Vyras led on, and the others followed. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Leaving the Cathedral for the first time since the escape from the siege was a welcome change for everyone. For it was dusty and stuffy in the cathedral basement, and the tension down below was so thick that not even the sharpest knife could cut it. Vyras set out first. Alauda flew overhead in the ethereal misty evening sky. Kunigas stayed with his husband. Belar was with her adoptive father. Antonius and Brimblemir took the rear to protect the children as the lasr line of defense if anything went awry.
Farth and Haegar stayed by Annie, for they were well aware of Balvin and his friends. Also with Annie was Soris, who ignored Brimblemir's suggestion that he stay in the rear. Soris did not relish the thought of being trapped with those immature idiots. Fools , he regarded them as. Brandr joined the convoy of children in the back as a rearguard in case anything came from behind with ill-intent, like a cowardly cutthroat.
As the group marched on, Soris and Annie continued chatting, though Soris checked his back now and then to be sure that his bullies were behind him. 'Friggin idiots, Balvin and Eidric are,' he whispered to Annie.
Suddenly as they moved on, they came across a little man-like creature. He wore a brown jacket red trousers, a brown tophat, white gloves, and he had a brown beard, and a cane. He looked the height of a child. He sang to the group
Yo ho ho
He he he
Shining shoes is good for thee

If thou givest 15 gold

"Oi can shoin your shoes though master necromancer, that counts fer somethin,' Vyras smiled 'I'd kick your little Cluichaun ass into Vilnius for that performance, and be rid of you, if it meant you wouldn't prank me until the end of my days for doing so; will you tell me the news in these parts, shoe shiner?' The Clurichaun nodded and took the sack. 'Fraid it's nothing but bad news,' Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!
