Vyras nodded defiantly, “We have fought the bastards on and off for centuries and in all that time, we have never accepted the help of vampire filth,” Vyras said proudly. “Now is not the time to be haughty, Vyras.” Pakilikas said, “You know full well that you cannot fight Clan Gern alone,” he admonished Vyras. “And you know full well that no resistance member would accept the help of Vampires. We are too proud,” Vyras shot back.

Lensa had one final question:“Will we be subjugated under this, Lord Sudaro Draconis, then, how is he different?” “We would leave, if successful. We have no interest in this land, our domain is in Sanguinos and always will be.” Darius answered Lensa sighed “Give us some time, Darius, to decide,”

Pakalikas was unsure of this Annie girl, first she attacks him, then she is open to allying with House Draconis. "Yes, we'd be fighting by your side. Presently, my lord is occupied in Pragaras, the siege there is brutal," Lensa sighed, "Then my sources were correct. Still I can hardly imagine any of the other resistance factions would be particularly impressed at us allying with vampires of another clan. I must think carefully on this." Lensa said.

"You need not worry about that," Pakalikas said, "Balta Mirta has been systematically wiping resistance factions out over the last few months, even prior to the siege. It may drive those remaining to our banner." he informed her. "Then perhaps it's a good thing Lady Gern has made everybody so desperate." She said, "But this mess hall is hardly the place to sign or discuss a pact, and Vyras' retirement party can't end on a bad note,"

"Indeed," Said Brimblemir, the cherry pyragas that Tomas baked has somehow survived the fight. "Most fortuitous!" Vyras said excitedly. "I will cut the pie," Said Arturias "Careful not to cut yourself," Kunigas cautioned. "I will," Arturias said.

Leonas decided to check on Brandr, coming out from under the table, Leonas went behind the bar to find Brandr completely unconscious with vodka spilt all over him he had tiny glass shards in his face "Someone get this man a stretcher!" Leonas said "Not to worry" Pakalikas said, I will carry him myself." Pakalikas enshrouded himself in a white light returning to his Darius form and picked up Brandr by himself. He carried the half-naked barbarian to the clinic, then returned. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Annie:

Annie. Pakilikas and the others sat in silence eating the Pyragas. The pie was pleasantly sweet. Hints of cinnamon, a spice rare in Sudovia, gave a sweet, slightly spicy flavor. The pie itself was large and plump, and the smell of butter on the pastry made everybody's mouth water. Brandr returned from the infirmary sometime later.

"The Healer said Brandr would make a full recovery," Brandr said "But she also told Brandr that he suffered concussion, so Brandr is to monitor his symptoms," Brandr immediately got back to work, after sweeping up the broken vodka glasses. Also surviving the fight was the ham, which was still in the oven when the fight began.

Brandr expertly sliced the ham with a knife, then served it to the guests. Pakilikas refused the meat "You'll find that vampires would rather have blood than meat. Seeing the ham makes me crave blood, You guys have no idea how hard it was to hold myself back," he said. Vyras took some meat, though only a little. He found that as he aged, he required relatively little food to sustain himself. Kunigas was much the same way. Belar, perhaps as a result of being infected with lycanthropy, took a large helping of meat. Lensa ate in silence.

Brimblemir took a slice as well, though he didn't feel very safe knowing that a vampire was in his midst. This cloud of suspicion despite the burgeoning alliance hung heavy over the group, as if yaks were sitting on everybody's chests. Leonas alone felt comfortable, eating and trying to strike up conversation, though there was not much to talk about. Brandr eyed the vampire with contempt.

Arturias got some ale in the meantime. Brandr allowed him considering the circumstances, and even served ale to everybody else, though Pakilikas refused the ale saying that drinking would be a bad idea.When the ham and the Pyragas were finished, everybody left. Pakilikas transformed back into Darius and went with Lensa into her quarters to talk diplomacy. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

Annie excited the mess hall. Waiting patiently for her was the smith, Metras, and his son, Soris. Vyras had barely got out of the mess hall with Annie, when Metras approached her. "I assume you forgot about the items. Here is the knife and needle you requested and gave her the steel needle with the fine blue stone embedded into the piece at the handle.

The needle had been embedded into a small piece of white wood and carved to make a fine handle. The steel knife bent back at the blade area, like a mini scimitar. It was a whittling knife complete with a blackwood handle and the other half of the blue stone embedded as a butt-cap on the bottom end of the handle.

The steel hatchet had was sleek and slender, the bloodwood handle was oiled with linseed oil. The lug of the axe was embedded with etchings of deer and running amidst beautifully and realistically etched trees. At the top of the lug were etchings of the stars and came with an inscription that read. On the other end of the axe were the same etchings, and an inscription:

"To a beautiful lady- from "S" That had to have been from Soris.

"I made the axe, Soris did the engraving," Metras said. Handing the items over to her, Soris blushed, "I hope everything is to your liking, Annie." he said. "Are you headed into the field, soon? he said, hoping she'd say no, because he really liked her. Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!

" ItGladdens me to hear you so happy," Soris said.

Vyras and Metras were also chatting in a whisper, Annie may have been able to pick up sign that Metras was distressed by Vyras' news. "Truly. I never would have guessed that vampire filth was masquerading as the guy, he pulled off his personality so well," Metras said, shocked by the news. Evidently, they were talking about Darius.

"This bodes ill, Vyras. If security is a concern now, then I, as a father, have to ask you Get Soris out of here. I've already lost Gabija. I will not lose Soris, too." Vyras nodded. "That's the plan. If the worst come to the worst, the resistance's future must come first." he said, "You mean-" Vyras nodded.

"I am taking all the children with me to Vilnius. They will be safest there. Everyone -even those blasted hooligans, Balvin, and Eidric, and I need Arturias with me to get onto the Gadiminas estate - I need Haegar at his best, knowing that Eidric will be safe. His nephew's safety is more important to him than his own life." Just your friendly neighborhood gay boy!
