In other news, a new poem is coming. I've been working really hard on its structure, finding the perfect merge of sounds and rhythm for its tone. It will be sightly different to what this forum has seen before, being a duologue. Should be fun to write.

XD I dunno. I mean, it's a shame there are very few pieces of Para's poetry left here. His poetry is quite different to mine -- devoid of all structure. I channel my emotions and narratives and try to convey them through the harmony of sounds and images and a strong rhythm; whereas his focus is more on the power of the language and the characters within.
I'm just being pretentious now.

Heh. It's a start.
It's interesting, actually: many seemingly simple structures (such as limericks) are actually quite complex in their structures. Three lines are trochaic tetrameter acatalectic; two are anapaestic duometer acatalectic.

As for your last sentence: that's why I don't like to learn about poetry . Don't bother explaining it to me, I'll never learn.
As for the limericks, they are my favourite kind of poetry, seconded by Haiku.
