So ... Xmas theme? generic December/winter theme?
Limited to RS content? RS/osrs/darkscape content? or writer can take their pick of fantasy scenario?
How many times are we allowed to troll Annie in the story?

Well, that was my suggestion. In reality the theme could be anything, so long as we can come up with something and Jagex finds it agreeable.

Whether it will be limited to Runescape content or not is, again, down to Jagex's discretion. Although stories don't have to be runescape-based anymore, I'm pretty confident in saying that every Story Contest hosted by Jagex has involved the Runescape setting in some capacity.

I would say that if it were Runescape content, then you'd be able to decide for yourself whether it was set in RS3, OSRS or Darkscape.

As I'm sure you're aware, Sir Eos, singling out specific users is frowned upon, and 'trolling' is against the forum rules.

*sighs*
fine ... I'll remove all the stuff I'd written about Annie attempting to save the universe and in the end only ending up with some nominally cute guy as her "standard heroine reward" along with the huge pile of slightly stale cookies.
I mean ... the cookies were only macaroons, so I doubt anyone would notice.

Hmm, atheme that Jagex might get behind?

- It's Christmastime, and instead of the player character coming to save Christmas, this time you have to prevent it, in order to save it!
- How would you deal with a horde of drunken snow imps?
- NPC's are protesting Xmas. Do you join them and lead them in glorious revolution against the tyrannical Santa Claus? or do you try to show them the error of their ways and focus again on the spirit of Xmas?
- You must discover the recipe for the greatest holiday desert/dish?
- Jmods are trapped in game, while they have their typical jmod powers, they can't escape. how do you save them? or do you save them?
- Tell a story of how you would celebrate Xmas/the holidays in Gilienor?

Nicely done Angel, looks good. If JAGEX cannot be involved for whatever reason, we'll have to do this ourselves, with only satisfaction of participation as the rewards for the winner(s). I also suggest that judges could also participate by making their own stories but cannot judge their own.

Also, if a SC/RP contest unfolds, it'd be useful if participants were encouraged to offer a little feedback of an entry of their choice, to help with interaction; those who provide a little feedback could be given a bonus point as a thank-you for their time.

Directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

I certainly enjoyed the narrative you concocted for your Annie-based story, but again, I'm pretty sure it would be disallowed. :P Perhaps asking for Annie's permission beforehand might help you in your efforts? You could become the official Annie1227 biographer! ;)

Ah, I was hoping you'd pop your head in here, Azi! As you're a veteran story forumer, your input is always greatly valued in these matters. I get what you're trying to say with the judges, but with only two out of three of the judges being able to vote for you, I'd think overall there'd be no chance of you coming out on top, (that's 25 potential points you're going to lose out on- as you cannot review yourself.) An alternative might be that instead of having judges, we leave it open to the public to vote for their favourites, ranking their top three. Though favouritism might lead to it becoming a popularity contest instead of one of skill.

I agree that reviewing other people's stories would also help, and might aid in the decision making of the judge as well. I imagine you're trying to bring back the story forum tradition of reviewing all stories? :P I'm sure a single bonus point wouldn't hurt in the voting process, though again, at the end of the day this would be up to Jagex's discretion, if they do decide to get on board with this.
