## - Chapter 5: The Staff of Alrous - ##

Everybody looks at the mountain, fire and smoke started to flair up around that mountain, Iban continues to smile. "What happened, Lord Saradomin?" Stephanie asked. Saradomin begins to think, wondering why Iban would smile about this. After a moment of thinking, Saradomin knew what it was. "Dante, Stephanie. We must get to that mountain before Iban!" Saradomin yelled, Iban and his Knights begin to run towards the monutain. Saradomin, Dante, and Stephanie begin to run after them. They all run as fast as they can. Stephanie points her bow in-front of her and pulls an arrow back and shoots, the arrow hits a Zamorak Knight in the back. They all continue to press on, the thunderstorm continued to roar, thunder and lighting rumbled. The rain pours down at quick speed, but all of a sudden; the storm disappears and sunlight shines though the darkness. It was indeed strange, but everyone continued, running and running as fast as they could.

"What the heck happened?" Dante wondered.

"I believe I know." Saradomin answered.

"Fill us in, Saradomin."

"It must have been the power of The Staff of Alrous, the item we're chasing after."

"What? This Staff of Alrous you speak of has the power to control weather?" Stephanie asked

"More than just weather, just about everything you can think of. Weather, mountains, empires, people , their weapons, even the dead."

"Whoa, really?"

"Yes, however, if this staff falls into the wrong hands, this world is going to be destroyed."

"Indeed, we must get to it first." said Dante

Dante, Stephanie and Saradomin run faster. After 20 minutes of racing, both groups make it to the top of the mountain in which the staff crashed. There was a 13 year old boy holding the staff, he looks at the two groups with his bronze brown eyes. He gulps at the sight of Iban and the others, Iban's expression goes into anger.

The boy looks around in confusion, unaware of what just happened, he looks at the two groups scared and frightened.

"I-I-I'm sorry...it's just that I was hiking up this mountain and suddenly this huge ball of fire hit the mountain and..." The boy tried to explain

"Get that staff at all costs!" Iban commanded

"Yes, my lord." The Zamorak Knights understood

The Zamorak Knights run towards the boy with their swords held high. The boy's eyes widen and he falls on the ground and points the staff in-front of him and closes his eyes. "Don't hurt me!" he cried. But as the knights were about to attack the boy, the staff glew red orange and huge spikes quickly rise from the ground and kill all the Zamorak Knights. Everybody stares in disbelief; amazed at the power of this staff , the boy opens his eyes. Aware that he hasn't been hurt and he looks up and sees the huge spikes that he commanded to rise to protect him. "W-Whoa! Did I do this!?" he shuddered. "You brat! You will regret killing Lord Zamorak's Knights!" Iban roared, he charges at the boy. Dante runs and protect the boy from Iban. He swings his sword at Dante but he guards it. "Hey kid, run away from here!" Dante told the boy. "No.." The boy said, worried for Dante's safety. The boy holds the staff in-front of him, flames shoot out from under Iban, but he gets out of the way before he got burnt. Iban stares at the boy, frustrated and worried that he might not be able to complete his mission. He continues to remain focused and calm.

"Your pretty strong, for a beginner." said Iban

"Dante! We must protect that child with our lives!" Saradomin yelled

"Hey kid, what's your name?" Dante asked

"Ivan Abderus."

"Well Ivan. Follow me and don't be stupid, alright?"

"Y-Yeah, I think I can do that." Ivan said

Saradomin suddenly begins to hear a sound, a sound of footsteps from heavy armour getting louder and louder with every passing second. "Stephanie, help Dante out. Armadyl should be here anytime now. You must protect that boy." Saradomin told Stephanie. "Umm...alright." she replied. Saradomin runs outside, he looks for what is causing the noises he was hearing. He stays hidden behind the pointy rocks of the mountain and looks around, he sees someone. A young woman in armour carrying a 2h handed sword made of steel and a few other light armoured knights around her.

"Hmmm....who is this woman?" Saradomin said to himself. She tells her knights to look around for anybody, she walks into the mountain with 2 knights. Saradomin sees her face, her eyes were the color white. Saradomin walks back over to where he left Dante and Stephanie. Dante continues to block Iban's attacks while Stephanie shoots arrows but Iban blocks them. "That's enough Iban, time to finish this." Saradomin said "Three against one? This seems a bit unfair, don't you think?" Iban said "It's not unfair, I'm here to help." A voice echoed. It was that woman and her knights. Dante looks at the woman, he has a flashback, he remembers someone that looked a lot like this woman.

Her voice also sounded just like this woman Dante had a flashback about. Stephanie looks over at Dante, "Dante? Are you alright?" Stephanie asked. Dante didn't say a word, he seems frozen. He begins to have a flashback, him sitting next to this woman by a tree in a field. They both talk to each other like they've known each other for a long time. They both smile and laugh, Dante picks a blue rose that was right next to him and gives it to this woman. The woman smiles and accepts the rose. "Thank you very much Dante." The woman politely said. Dante smiles back, "You're very welcome." Dante said. "Dante? Hello?" Stephanie said, Dante snaps out of the memory.

"Dante? Are you alright? I kinda lost you for a second." Stephanie said.

"Hmmm? I'm fine, you don't need to worry about me." Dante said

"Alright, if you say so."

"Who is this woman? I obviously know her, but I don't remember her." Dante said to himself

Age: Age stopped at 23 shortly after the god wars ended. (I say this because he was originally designed as a surviving general of the god wars in modern runescape and I don't know how long you are going to make the god wars last)

Weapon: A greatbow as tall as himself given to him by zamorak and an unpoisoned dragon dagger
Appearance: Blonde with hair going over both of his eyes for the most part and short in the back, blue eyes, gray and black archers armor and a long flowing red cape with zamorak's symbol on it.
Personality: Violent, Calm, Quick to lead a charge on the frontlines despite the fact that he's an archer.
Born in: Meiyerditch
Family: Killed his father before leaving Meiyerditch. His mother and little sister's status is unknown.
Background: Born in Meiyerditch to an angry drunk of a father (who was tolerated by the vampires as he helped collect tithes) who beat him until Ravinius killed him and joined the zamorakian army by lying about his age (he was 12) and claiming he was a vampire, even drinking blood to prove it (he stopped using his last name at that point so it couldn't be traced back). He started as a grunt but after winning many battles as sole survivor and defeating Armadyll in a duel (not killing just wounding enough that Armadyll was forced to retreat)he was eventually made a general who was feared by all for his ferocity and lack of mercy(this was 6 years before the god wars ended). Has a particular hatred towards a Saradominist general who shamed him in battle multiple times.

New Info: After he repents, Ravinius should be very solemn but still have the "I don't need you, I can do it myself" attitude. Also he should do the whole throwing down his weapon and saying "Go ahead, strike me down. I killed your family. Get your vengeance. Do it! KILL ME!"
