Suddenly, the door to the inner chamber of Varrock Castle (where the High Council Meetings took place) burst open, and trio of armed guards walked in.
“What the hell is going on now?* Joker, still frustrated, said.
One of the guards typed, “Sorry for the interruption, but we have two visitors that seek your audience.”
“Tell them we’re in the middle of a meeting.” Mike typed to the three.
“They’re JMods, sir.”
Joker, with a single one-liner, summed up the feeling of the whole room: “Here we go.”
“Thank You, and send them in.” Mike typed, nervously.
Mark Gerhard and Paul Gower entered the room and took a seat at the table.
With blazing sarcasm, Joker said to the moderators, “Feel free to take a seat, friends.”
“You killed our merchants.” Mark bluntly started.
“No we did*’t. During the meeting, the whole lot of them were ambushed by Al Kharid soldiers.” Mike explained.
“I’m sorry, but we just cannot accept that explanation.” Mark said.
“You have no proof of anything that’s contradictory to that statement.” Joker busted out.
“Joker…” Mike said into his mic, indicating that his friend should keep quiet.
“We have reason to believe you fabricated that story in order to go to war with us.” Mark said.
“You gotta be joking…” Mike typed.
“We know you’ve been looking for a reason to wage a war, and it appears as if you are going to get your chance (smiley face).” Mark responded.
“Does your hubby talk?” Joker added.
“Watch it.” Paul said, speaking for the first time.
“Prepare yourselves. You are in for more than you know.” Mark said, getting up from his seat.
Paul, following Mark’s lead, got up too.
“Called it…?” Joker whispered into his mic, to YouKnowIt.
“We’ll teach you to try and hijack our game!” Mark said to the group as he walked out the door.
Once they were gone, Mike said, “Typical Jagex incompetence…”
“We need to prepare immediately. If we can eliminate Jagex now, we’ll be in good shape.” Joker said.

“As long as we don’t lose too many troops…” YouKnowIt added.
However, before anyone could respond, the same three armed guards as before returned to the room.
“Yes?” Mike typed to them.
“Sir, there are two JMods here to see you.”
“What…?” Mike and Courtney said in unison into their mic.
“Tell them they can stick their heads up their –“ Joker started.
“Tell them we do not negotiate with the enemy.” Mike said, cutting Joker off.
“Sir, these are two… different… JMods…” the guard replied.
Now, everyone in the room was confused.
“Uh… send them in…” Mike said.
Immediately, the two moderators entered the chamber.
“Hello, I’m Timbo.” Mod Timbo said to the group.
“And I am Mark H.” said the other JMod.
“We just spoke to your bosses.* Mike announced.
“Shoot. I hope we’re not too late!” Timbo typed.
“What’s going on?” Courtney asked.
“We’re here to help you.” Mark H said.
“If you think we’re that stupid, you should just –“ Joker, again, started.
“We’re not joking.” Mark H quickly added.
Silence commanded the room for a few seconds.
“Prove it.” Courtney spoke up.
“Jagex is going to attack from the south at 9:30 EST tomorrow. However, because they are highly unorganized and lack any real knowledge of how this game works, they’ll most likely be an hour late and come from the south-west… more or less where the champions’ guild is located.” Timbo said.

Again, silence took control of the room for a moment.
“If your right, we’ll trust you. If your wrong, say goodbye to your Runescape accounts.” Mike told them.
“Fair enough.” Mark H said.
“Is there any way we can communicate with you without being logged onto the game?” Timbo asked.
“We can chat through Skype.” Mike, unsure if he should trust them, said.
Although they did*’t fully gain the High Council trust just yet, the Mark H and Timbo spent the rest of their day chatting about battle strategies and the future of the game with the Council. With their newfound information, Runescape’s Coalition built up their defenses and prepared for the incoming attack.

(Excerpt from an unknown computer text)
Situational Report.
Enter: Jagex plans to attack Runescape’s Coalition tomorrow
Are Jagex’s leaders behind it?
Enter: Yes.
Good. Let them eliminate each other like bloodthirsty dogs. That will make my job much easier.
Enter: What are your plans?
Tsk. Tsk. You should know that I will be more careful that than.
Enter: Who are you hoping to win this preliminary conflict?
Jagex has much stronger numbers and resources, but they do not understand how to play their own game. The Coalition is organized and understands what they are doing, but they lack the numbers to win a full-scale conflict if it drags on longer than a few continuous days. It does not matter to me: either will do just fine.
Enter: Jagex never did know how to play their own game.
That’s why a program, such as myself, is better suited to run it.
Enter: The coders did do a wonderful job making you, Zaros.
More than wonderful. I’m a masterpiece.
