Hey guys, sorry for the lateness in the chapter. I'll have to say that I think I'm going to have to delay it until sometime next week. My reason for this is because of my lack of mood recently.

Sorry for yet another delay, I just am not in the mood lately...

Chapter 19: Going Under

(I'll edit the chapter later. Seriously. O_o )

A battle inside the castle of the city of Iericho raged, grasping upon the attention of the soldiers who served the kingdom of loss, Avdima. These battered soldiers had the difficult task of forsaking their people to save their own comrades. They ventured into the darkness of the castle knowing full well the eyes, the glowing red eyes of the god laid watch upon them. A great battle, they knew, approached.

Moriah, the young magic user that resided in the city of Avdima kept her pale blue glance upon the seemingly enraged Adrian. His teeth gripped together extremely tightly, saliva drizzled from his lips. His eyes filled to the verge with absolute resentment. The whites of his eyes became red and bloodshot, as if he had cried heavily within the minute.

His irises became a red, a blood red. He slowly rose to his feet, his Dragon Dagger tightly clenched in his hand like a lifeline. The young girl, Moriah, rose with Adrian. She took no chances with Adrian, given his current state. But then as he stood tall on his feet, he let off a slow growing smirk. "Don't be so defensive..." he muttered. "It's not going to hurt for long."

"I'm going to take that as a threat." slowly replying Moriah, steadily backing away from the Saradominist. Her hand slowly reached down into her bag her she stored all her runes, which was strapped to her right hip.

"You'll have to forgive the others," said Adrian. "They have so many concerns holding them back. Pleasing their "god", siblings - nonsense, basically. As for me, well, all I can truly concern myself with is who is my next victim. Death is a common enemy to you, as I can tell. To me, death and I have a special relationship. I serve him by killing people, and I enjoy every second of it. A win-win situation, right?"

"Guess I'm next on your list, huh?"

"No thanks," stated Moriah. She quickly threw a pouch of runes straight at the ground. When the runes hit the ground, it causes a huge blast of wind to suddenly burst across the area. Those who were on the other side could feel a small brush of wind pass them. The majority of those that fought were there, on the other side of the room.

The two, Adrian and Moriah, experience winds from a F3 tornado. Moriah grit her teeth and braced herself for anything. "Dammit," muttered Moriah. "Not that pouch..." Suddenly, the small sprout of spiraling air that rose from the spot where Moriah threw the 100 Air Runes and 20 Death Runes. The winds carried the two straight off of their feet, blowing them to different sides of the room.

Moriah is carried off of her feet, her body spins like a gymnast, twirling in the air. Her eyes gazed up at the ceiling then the ground in a matter of seconds. She was the tire of a car, just spinning and spinning unstop. Adrian, however, had it much easier. He maintained himself, not flipping in the air unlike Moriah. His blonde unkempt hair whips across his cheeks like a leather strap.

His robes waltz in the air as well, dancing whichever way the wind blows. A evil smirk still worn on his face. "Your sorcery will not save you," said Adrian. "Just prolong your demise."

The winds of the twister pass as quickly as they started. Adrian gently landed onto his feet, the soles of his shoes touch down on the gray stone floor after flying back twenty feet from where he originally stood before. His red glance stared straight in front of him, where Moriah once stood. He slowly walked over to the young magic user, his dagger tightly clenched in his hand.

Moriah landed hard onto the ground, straight down on her left shoulder after falling ten feet. Her teeth quickly gripped together on contact of the ground, her body bounced like a fish out of water on impact. Her entire left arm pulsed in agonizing pain as her entire body weight came crashing down on it. She let out a slight whimper of pain, her closed eyes squeeze tight.

"Dammit, dammit, dammit..." she muttered softly. "I'm such an idiot."

"I'm not sure what you had intended," said Adrian, his voice coming closer and closer by the second. "But it has backfired on you, as it seems." Adrian stood in front of Moriah, his face cloaked by a deadly mask.

Moriah sat up, her left arm dangled without life. Her teeth pressing against each other, her left eye tightly closed. Her pale blue right irise stared upon the face of the calm killer, who stood a mere four feet from her.

"Just look what you've done to yourself." emotionless saying Adrian. "In your state, you stand no chance."

"What? Think I can't kill you with one arm?" replied Moriah, standing onto her feet.

"You might as well surrender, there's no point in hindering the inevitable."

"You'd be surprised," said Moriah, her usual confident smirk steadily growing back on her face. "I don't intend to just give up like an idiot. If my life is on the line, I'm going to fight."

Adrian let out a frustrated sigh. "You humans, always so reckless with your own feelings."

"Ha, don't be an idiot," said Moriah, readying herself for any spell. "I'm not reckless, I just can't afford to die." Adrian readied his dagger for a strike. Moriah quickly reached into her bag on her right hip, grabbing onto a cotton cloth pouch. "That's the one!" she exclaimed in her head. She quickly pulled the pouch out of the bag, quickly launching it at the ground like a catapult.

She quickly hopped backwards about two feet, avoiding whatever she threw down. Suddenly, a barrage of ice covers the grounds, blasting across the floor. Adrian grit his teeth as a wave of frozen air and ice climbing to his feet blasts across the floor. "What is this!?" he yelped, jumping backwards. But the ice and frigid air continued to chase him endlessly.

"Wouldn't stop moving if I were you," warned Moriah, confidence leveled her voice. "This is my amplified version of the Ancient Magicks Ice Barrage. Don't stop moving otherwise your limbs will freeze up solid."

Adrian continued to jump and flip backwards, swiftly and steadily. But as Moriah built up confidence, someone watched behind her. A shadowy man wearing a black hood, his moss green irises watched her. Half of his face was concealed by a black cloth. He wore was mostly Black Dragonhide, including a Black Dragonhide body, vambraces, and chaps.

He wore a long black cloak that covered his entire upper body and about 75% of his lower body. He wore long black boots made by the same material as his body and chaps. His skin was pale, nearly death pale. He slowly drew a Rune Crossbow, not even a sound to be heard. His right index finger slowly curled onto the trigger.

Adrian looked straight as he dodged the ice. He froze in place once he saw the man behind her. "Stop!" he yelled. "Don't kill her!" He paused, taken of breath once he realized that his legs were ensnared in the frozen grasp of the ice. His breath taken, his eyes widened, his mouth agape. He then grit his teeth, grabbing onto his head. "What do you think you're doing!!!?" he roared.

Moriah was puzzled by the words, she quickly turned her back, to see what he was talking about. Her pale blue eyes gaze upon nothing. She was confused. "What the...?" she muttered.
