It's a shame there's not a "like" button (or something similar) on these forums. If there were, that ^ would have definitely gotten a "like." It certainly made me chuckle!

"That would make three judges already. Is there a limit, Coz? I would declare interest in judging, but I'm guessing you won't be needing any more."
There's no telling who will or won't be available closer to the deadline, so I would like anyone interested to apply as a judge, so long as they are not planning on participating. Also, I won't select judges based on who applied first. There may be a limit on the final number of judges, but there will not be a limit on the number of applicants.

In that case, here is my judge application. I don't plan on participating in this contest, but the prospect of judging is enticing.
I came about these forums around July 2011, when I applied to "The Novelists' Guild". Shortly after being accepted into the guild, I applied to become a reviewer. After a practice review, I was accepted, and since then I have conducted numerous reviews. I would consider myself an apt reviewer in any given circumstance, largely due to the fact that I enjoy critiquing others' works as much as I enjoy reading them.
My current collection entitled "Snow's Collection of Shorts" contains all my short stories, many of which have been entered into player-run contests. I have participated in the previous two Jagex-approved contests, as well as Mitch's "Survivor 2" contest a few months ago. Outside of the forums, I have yet to enter any formal sort of competitions.
I would also like to mention that since taking over TNG, I have had the chance to review various applications, ranging from Membership applications to the coveted "Wordsmith" ranked applications. I enjoy reviewing greatly, which is why I would like to become a part of the judging panel in contests such as this. :)

I would also like to apply for a judge's position.
While I haven't contributed many writings to this section of forums, I have posted numerous times on a thread entitled "Alternate Ending Stories" (Quick find code: 23-24-200-63627829) with an account (raikenzera) that I've otherwise discontinued use of. In my spare time, I've composed many different short stories and I am creating a light novel, none of which I have posted on forums for fear of plagiarism.
I have conducted a few reviews in my past, many of which had been called quite accurate. I am not a member of the Novelists' Guild, nor have I heard of it until today. I have yet to participate in any Jagex-hosted competitions, but I have placed decently high in two real life competitions. I enjoy reading works by prospective authors, especially dark and/or mysterious works, which I why I would greatly enjoy judging this competition.

"False Gospel"
The time is up, they knew the secret would not last
They gave up trying, there time of end is near
The people will rise and revolt when they hear
Some will cling to the lasting idea...of a false gospel

More despair and death in the history of mankind
Sometimes it seems more like the greedy leading the blind
It brings upon us more death and war
We all know religion has a lot of crimes to answer for

A scientific discovery unravels religion
The church hides behind the book
Still preaching its every word
The Vatican crumbles to the face of a new judgement

You would think we would learn
But still the death goes on, cities are cremated, death from above
Somewhere there's a soldier dying in a foreign holy land
Meanwhile the world is crying, ignorance of man

Now the end has begun, fight fire with fire is cheap
Mankind is leaning on the edge of the void
Killing for a still ever present fanatical devotion
Leaders of the world will turn sand to glass

When the missiles launch, there is no recall
We are no longer the sons of God
We are the puppets of the play
A grand cover plan

Meanwhile they hide in the bunkers
Watching man destroy, annihilate
Everything is now in motion
Everything is now nothing

They rise now, dictators of a new land
And so the cycle restarts
Until man learns, peace is a figment of mind
Where there is religion, there is war

The new religion fails
The end has begun again
Utter hope is a destructive commodity
Man cannot comprehend

Free your morals and let them fly
Give your soul to the false divine
Keep your secrets and reign eternally
All these mysteries will be the end of us again
