The only place where there were no houses is where a meager waterfall poured from a crack in one of the walls, its waters trickling down over a moss-ridden patch to eventually join the lake. The cavern was circular in shape, and as Mr. Happy studied it further he saw shapes roving along the curving balconies, some pausing to greet each other, others just moving stiffly along as though set on some vital purpose. More strode below, rushing between buildings or loitering in the gardens. It reminded Mr. Happy of an anthill. There must be thousands of people living here!
He watched the bustle of Xanadian life from one of the upper balconies that lined the city's walls. The room he had been confined to for the past few days lay behind him carved into the wall, one amongst the multitude. This city was at least as big as all of Ardougne!
Wolf0122, Sinusoidal and Gizmo B Free stood alongside him in the same kind of clothes they had been wearing a few days ago.
Sinusoidal:You will notice there are 24 buildings down below.
(c)Mr. Happy:If you say so
Gizmo B Free:Yes we thought it would be best
Gizmo B Free:If you first had an aerial view of Xanadu.
Wolf0122:Yea, it's kind of confusing down below.
(c)Mr. Happy:You built all of this?
Sinusoidal:Lol, not us!
Wolf0122:This has been here since before the first rebellion.
(c)Mr. Happy:First rebellion?
Gizmo B Free:Yea, its a beautiful place.
Wolf0122:Anyway, to the buildings.
Sinusoidal:See those 19 around the rim?
Gizmo B Free:Those are stat buildings.
The stat buildings appeared to be equally spaced along the circ(Cens)umference of the cavern's circular floor. One was straight beneath his balcony, its stone structure rising up perhaps three stories and carved into delicate curves that from above looked like an interesting geometric pattern. From the front, (c)Mr. Happy suspected, the building would resemble one of the stat icons. That seemed to be a logical conclusion from the other buildings.
