The first read, "Welcome home, Nexi" while the other stated, "I missed you, and, as always, so did my arrows."
Nexitum wandered over to Bomber, who had been an audience to the display. Grinning and shaking his head, Bomber said, "Well met, Nexitum." Raising an eyebrow, Nexitum replied with a question, "Suqah?" Bomber nodded, "Aye. Are they not fine and strong workers?" Laughing, the two men shook hands and gave each other a hearty slap on the back before Nexitum spun on his heels and ran towards the castle.
Meanwhile, Ecentrah had ran from her room towards Queen Lorry's chambers and banged so loudly on her doors that they shook, dislodging a cloud of dust that slowly fell to the ground.
Queen Lorry jerked open the door, ready to scold the person beyond it for the noise and dust. Almost simultaneously, she took notice of an excited, Ecentrah and saw a flash in the corner of her eye as Haukka reentered his cage and rang a bell furiously. Queen Lorry praised the bird for being so fast and knew the ringing of the bell was a sign that Nexitum had returned to Camelot. Ecentrah confirmed this, and they both ran for the stairs and the entry hall of the castle. It was a very undignified run indeed, as both were pushing each other in the rush to be first to greet the Chief Guard home.
With all the noise Ecentrah and Queen Lorry were making, excitement spread like wildfire throughout the castle as the occupants all made their way to the entry hall. Cheers erupted when Nexitum walked through the door and everyone spoke at once calling out greetings to the Chief Guard. Queen Lorry had the right of the first true words to her beloved Guard so with a raise of her hand the crowd fell silent. She solemnly told him of the loss of Firemakers, and the work Bomber and his Suqah were doing to construct a mighty monument. Following a moment of silence for their fallen comrade, Queen Lorry called for an early lunch to be made ready.
