Californian Assault Trooper
Wearing heavier, fuller armour than regular troopers, useful for holding defensive lines or leading dangerous assaults.

Brotherhood of Steel
This quasi-religious faction formed when remnants of the United States Armed Forces stumbled upon the remains of technology sometime after the Nuclear Holocaust. Consisting of superheavy troopers in Power Armour, they are a truly formidable force to face. They seek out technologies throughout America, and may participate in expeditions. Continuing the legacy of the United States Armed Forces, Brotherhood soldiers are disciplined, highly trained, hardy, and resourceful. They are at war with the NCR, the Enclave, and Europa.

Brotherhood Trooper
When wearing armour, they are slower, less mobile, less accurate, and have less visibility. Power Armour is invulnerable to shrapnel and most firearms.

The Enclave
Refers to the United States Secret Service, this Black Ops faction is also the continuation of the United States government (in their opinion). Before the Nuclear Holocaust, the Enclave funded the Vaults, and so have total rights over them, often leading to cruel, horrific, unpredictable experiments. Deliberate sabotage of entire Vaults led to morbid disasters for entire populations, and even mutations of people into monsters.

A sinister corporation, the Enclave seems to act as though it rules everything no matter what. It has access to possibly the best military armour and weapons, as well as Vertibirds and oil rigs. The Enclave is at war with the Brotherhood of Steel and Europa, and anything else that gets in its way! The Enclave only employs humans, though there are unique examples of employing Super Mutants.

Enclave Trooper
When wearing Power Armour, Enclave Troopers are virtually invulnerable to conventional firearms and shrapnel, but are slower, less mobile, less accurate, and have less visibility. The Enclave are hated and feared by many, unpopular especially with citizenry and Wastelanders.

Vertibird
The Vertibird is a military tiltwing, capable of preforming the roles of a helicopter and plane. It has rocket pods beneath the wings, and the sides can open up, revealing machine gun turrets at either side.

Super Mutant
They originate from a Vault project that went horribly wrong. Super Mutants are huge, powerful, fast, aggressive, and rather stupid, but still capable of using weapons. They kidnap people either to eat them or transform them into Super Mutants.

Ghoul
The so-called Ghouls are zombie-like monsters, once human, the result of a Vault project that had gone horribly wrong when the Enclave deliberately sabotaged the program. When they glow, they are highly radioactive.

Europa
European soldiery have landed on the eastern shores of America, Canada and Mexico, and plan to conquer the continent of North America. Consisting of gas masked infantry and cavalry, they are a formidable force, as their horsemen can chase after routing enemies, and their infantry have the stopping power to hold a defensive line and use trench warfare. They are at war with all native factions, as well as Britannia across the English Channel.

European forces have some support consisting of biplanes, tanks, and battleships similar to those used during both World Wars, as well as some mech support. All their vehicles take diesel.

European plate armour is strong enough to deflect melee weapons, shrapnel, and small arms fire (such as pistols), and can even stop bullets fired from assault rifles at long range. However, most military grade two-handed firearms can shoot through the armour. Shiny armour may cause lasers and particle beams to reflect off as well.

Enforcer
Not a soldier, but a kind of riot police, for dealing with conquered peoples and rioters.

Infantry
The typical soldier of Europa, trained to shoot and drive the bayonet in equal measure, but they also use assault rifles, shotguns, SMGs, and other guns. Equipped with backpacks and shovels for prolonged trench warfare.

Grenadier
A heavily-armoured soldier, Grenadiers are tall, large, strong men, but their heavy equipment slightly reduces speed, accuracy, mobility, and visibly compared to most other infantrymen. Often used in assaulting a strong position, leading a charge, or holding a defensive position. Also equipped with a few grenades.

Lancer
They ride fast, agile, hardy, genetically modified horses, relying on speedy hit-and-run charges to gradually pick away at the enemy. It is also their job to scout, pursue fleeing forces, raid caravans and enemy settlements, and attack the rear and flanks of enemy positions. Since man and horse both may have gas masks, they can ride in smokescreens or smoke produced from vehicles or gunfire for cover, then charging out the smoke on the last moment to surprise the enemy. The warhorses are trained to kick, bite and paw enemies as well. Lancers may also be equipped with swords and pistols.

Cuirassier
The Cuirassier rides into battle with sword and pistol, mounted on a large, tall, heavy, powerful, genetically modified warhorse, where weight and mass is used to smash through enemy infantry and cavalry, and trample whatever opposition remains into dust. The destrier is trained to fight as well, able to kill a man in a single kick, or bite down to the bone.

Since Cuirassiers are expected to charge into the enemy, Cuirassiers are fantastically courageous men, masters of swordsmanship and horsemanship, but they can fight as carabiniers (mounted gunners) if the situation demands it. They can also fight as dragoons, meaning they ride on horses for transport, and then dismount to fight on foot with carbines or shotguns as armoured infantry.

They are expected to plan and win battles through tactics and strategy for armies, regiments and platoons, but they can fight if they must.

Tank

Very rare, this is a bipedal walking mech, essentially a walking shooting platform. The driver is rather exposed, unless protected by bulletproof glass.

Britannia
The remnants of the British Empire continue to service in USA, Canada, and the British Isles, even after the Nuclear Holocaust. While in the Americas, ironically, they now are supportive of the old colonies they once ruled, but there is no official alliance. Regardless, the descendants of Britannia will protect their past colonies from European expansion, which is also a necessity, as Britannia needs help as well.

However, Britannia is unable to muster as many forces as Europa, seeing as the entirety of mainland Europe has formed into a single coalition, and so has access to much more immediate resources and population. Nevertheless, Britannia has the best quality navy, as would be expected from an island nation. The British Isles currently fends-off European invasions, and despite being outnumbered, the superiority of English naval strategy, tactics, and quality of battleships, has saved Britannia.

Ork
Oh, dem Ork Boyz are monstrous Orcs, who are hellbent on killing everything! WAAAGH! The r in Ork is often very lightly pronounced, so it sounds more like 'Oh-ks', whereas for Orcs, the r is strongly pronounced. Orks are inherently connected by some sort of mind-based link, allowing vast hordes of Orks to behave almost as if a single entity with a single interlinked purpose. Despite their brutish appearance, they are capable of manufacturing dieselpunk weapons, armour, vehicles, and even mechs, something that Orcs cannot.

Deathclaw
These huge, dangerous, frightening monsters roam the surface, in search of food. Capable of ripping apart just about anything, their hide is so tough, their skin can resist assault rifle rounds. They are also excellent swimmers. Curiously enough, in Fallout 2, one Deathclaw speaks before being killed. Perhaps they are more sentient than anyone could ever expect?

Khajiit
A race of omnivorous feline bipeds, they lived in deserts throughout the world, with barely any changes to their culture or technological capabilities. However, like other beast-races, they are of medieval technology, and so must scavenge or steal advanced weaponry from the human world. Khajiit are good at stealing, mercantile, are easily addicted to sweets, and possess claws and teeth akin to predators.

Argonian
A bipedal, omnivorous, quasi-amphibious synapsid race, capable of breathing underwater and excellent swimming and diving. They lived in swampy areas throughout the world, with barely any changes to culture and technological capability. As is often the case with beast-races, they are primitive, capable of making medieval armour and weapons, but must steal or scavenge the human world for more technological weaponry. Females lay eggs and breastfeed their young, apparently. Extremely resistant to disease and poison. They also have claws, and large muzzles and sharp teeth means they have a powerful bite.

Saurischia
Meaning ''lizard-hipped'', this refers to a primitive race of warm-blooded bipedal beings, who seem to be carnivorous and herbivorous. Considering their beaked-shaped muzzles and females having breasts, they seem to be something in-between theropsids and bipedal ornithischia, but the appendages hanging at the back of the head is unusual.

Capable of manufacturing medieval armour and weapons but nothing more advanced, Saurischias must steal or scavenge the human world for advanced weaponry. To keep up with the times, they have learned English, a necessity to understanding the technology of the human world, however, like most beast-races, they struggle to understand anything beyond medieval technology. Good swimmers and divers, as they can hold their breath for about twenty minutes easily, but their eyesight is not as good as humans.

Little Sister
Girls who were genetically modified, to such an extent, their heads and eyes became gigantic, their eyes glow, and their voices have a hollow, echoing effect. They have large syringes, which they use to take blood from genetically modified people known as Splicers, as to drink for sustenance and ADAM (a substance found in blood of Splicers, allowing magic-use). Children are playful, curious, kind, emotional, and easily frightened when alone. They tend to follow anything that will protect them.

When a Little Sister becomes pubescent, she may end up a Big Sister. If so, she loses the ability to speak, and becomes a rather crazy warrior, which can only screech and scream. Fast-moving, and can dive and swim excellently.

A genetically modified human man, losing the ability to speak, and instead can only grumble. Huge and powerful, and intimidating, they are obviously capable of underwater journeys, and they are fiercely protective of Little Sisters.
