Keril looked at the dragon chain and let his hand go, the chains slowly moving through his hands. The Kalphites were sent flying back into the abyss and they hoisted Keril up. Tilus smiled, “You did the right thing, Keril” Keril sighed, “I know, but we could have done something with all that money!” Tilus looked back at Keril as they were walking back to Alkharid. “Money isn’t everything” Keril smirked, “I guess your right”
“Thank you thank you thank you!” shouted the Sultan bowing down, “You have killed the Kalphite Queen, and made the journey across the Kharidian Desert much, much easier!” Willo smiled, “It was nothing, now we need to be heading off” The Sultan shook his head, “Oh no you can’t! You must stay for the festival, food, drinks, contests, all for free!”
Keril and Tilus looked at each other and then at Willo, “Well, we could take a break for a little bit** The Sultan clapped his hands. “Good! Very good! I shall make necessary preparations right away!” They smiled, “Better get into some local clothing?”
Keril went to his room and put on a white and black top with black pants. There were symbols encrusted on the side making it look like a spectacular illusion. He looked in the mirror and turned his body around, “Nice” Willo walked in and Keril laughed. “Hey, this was the only size they had…” Keril saw that Willo’s shirt sagged down to his feet. “Man you look awful!” Willo sighed.
As they went into the palace hundreds of people greeted and thanked them. “Where’s Tilus?” said Keril looking around. Tilus came down from her room, a black and white elegant top with a white skirt on. She smiled and looked at Keril. “Let’s go outside, the festival’s almost over” They went out on the balcony staring at the shimmering oasis. The reflection of the moon was like diamonds running on the water. They looked at each other and slowly kissed. Keril wished he could be with Tilus forever.
