The walk almost put Logan off the entire adventuring idea. Not only was it pouring with rain, but the city was absolutely massive, and it took six hours to cross from one side to another. Just to make matters worse, the sewers were overflowing with storm water, filling up the streets with waste. The ‘official’ sewage mixed with the roadside sewage, which was twice as bad, to create a tremendous stench that rivalled that of the recent heat waves. This, however, was worse in the way that they had to wade through puddles of this waste mix.
After what seemed like days they finally reached the inn that Aura had mentioned. It wasn’t a big place, nor was it flash, which suited Logan fine. They left the flooding city and strode in. It felt like they’d stepped into a portal to another dimension. They were greeted by a rush of warm air, which came from a huge fire burning in the far corner of the room. The room was decorated with various paintings and ornaments, most notably an adament sword, in a glass case, for the entire world to see.
*Hello there, how can I help you?” the receptionist said. He was short and round, and had a jolly appearance to him.
