As i approached my destination on foot after a ride in a leaky boat i was extremely alert. in a place like this, you gotta be careful. i saw a dark shape moving in the distance, it was low to the ground and hidden behind a clump of grass. i could guess what it was, but it was something id rather not think about. i couldn't tell for sure due to the fact that im terribly near sighted. it was the only thing i fear. but luckily i didn't have to pass it, i had arrived at my destination.
i went on with business as usual, visiting 5 of the 6 brothers and blasting them to pieces with my magical tree branch. and then it was time to tunnel. but fear was lurking in the back of my mind. what if it had gotten into the tunnels? it had claws, i knew it could dig, but i doubted it was what i feared it was, and entered i the tunnel.
after killing various creatures, most of which skeletons, i set off to find the chest. but something was wrong, i felt odd. as if i were being watched. i quickened my pace holding my whip and rune defender tightly. i tried to convince myself that it couldn't have gotten in, and i was probably wrong as to the identity of the thing hiding in the grass.
then i heard it. the sound of something moving on the gravel and bone covered floor. i turned around and saw them. too far away for me to see clearly, but the thing i feared had come true. but not just one of them, but half of a dozen were there at least. and they were larger than any i had ever seen and the wrong color. pinkish purple.
the bunnies had found me. 6 bunnies. i heard a rather gross sound in the seat of my armor and realized i had just done something i would regret. i messed up my armor. and the bunnies closed in, all 6 of them came closer and closer...
but then i realized the truth. they weren't bunnies at all, i had nothing to fear. the 6 brothers had planned an ambush on me, and as they attacked i felt a great relief. i chopped them to bits and claimed my reward at the chest of 5 chaos

Ha, that's actually quite good, aside from the lack of capitalisation. Very amusing.
Also, it's good to have you back. Looks like this thread would have died without your timely return :s This forum must be moving quite quickly these days.

Authors Gala? Haven't been able to be on in ages to hear anything about it, which also means I won't be able to attend since my one chance to get in game now is Wednesday nights for maybe an hour if I come to Jeff's house for the evening :(

for some reason Hey You by Pink Floyd has a similar feeling to writing a story. u know, the feeling u get when ur writing a story and feel as though u are writing from an actual experiences rather than fiction. the attempt to put ur thoughts into someone else's mind and make them see what you do. or am i the only one that feels like that when i write a story?
also, i wrote a story awhile ago. it was for school, but the assignment was simply to write a story, so it isn't school related. it came out pretty good, and it does have a somewhat medieval theme to it. well, its actually based in the future, but people have swords and stuff. sounds corny, but its about a survival situation where no one can use guns anymore because there is no way to make or import bullets so people use medieval weapons that need no ammo.
