You now what I think of "Abomination of Men" don't you?
---
You didn't *say* anything, so of course I don't. You can't just expect me to know what's in your mind. I don't even know if you thought it was 'good' or 'bad'.

The Noob is the prequel of The Priceless.

P.S. Still double posting, I see. :P

I'll be honest, this is the story that I dislike the most, out of all of your stories. It's not the mechanics, or any of the such, it's the moral behind the story. You know that I'm against same-gender-marriage, but the fact that Danny left his parents at 18 (or 17?) to find the "love" of his life, who could just as well have been a 70 years old creep (Like the bartender), that he throws his life away for a person he does not even know, I just didn't like that. =(

This does not mean I think any less of you, it's just that I don't like the concept of it. Even he had run for a girl I still would not have liked it.

PS; Yup! ^_^

As a teenager I was then, you could say I was quite prone to romantic fantasies. Shedding the phobic parents behind to brace for a new life, find your own happy ending. I wouldn't be surprised that you dislike it most because it is extremely blunt with religion and religious readers. That even if you oppose same-gendered-marriage, or coupling, then tough. Imagine that believers are not allowed to gather and worship anywhere in this country because it offends certain people. That a law has been enacted and you may get arrested. Those people capable of doing such things lack the empathy of being in the religion and knows that God feels real. And of course, we have never done that to religions, so why are religions opposing them in a similar manner? This story is blunt in a way that, whether you (or anyone) like it or not, these things happen. The society has come together to inflict misery on two individuals, and they try to fight their way out from their unhappiness. There are emotional stakes, yes, which made it a difficult choice. But if you were in our narrator's position, you might have done the same, when you have discovered that you have only ever been loved, not because of who you are, but because of the person your parents want you to be. In that situation some people take their lives. Perhaps that's where I had gone a different way.

Ah, but he WASN'T a 70 year old man ;) It was a pre-warning to meeting online persons, as I want no responsibility of it should someone approach me later and say I didn't want them. I respect your opinion on this matter and I don't expect I will change them. But this story is about so much more than just running away. There is the nature and the question of love. The love the parents had for Danny is very conditional, and so was everyone around him. We love you, providing you believe. More than that, I simply think this story is about a young man who takes a courageous step to beat life.

I understand your point of view, but I also understand very well that your mind is set in stone on that matter. There's nothing I can say that will make you change is there? The one thing that I don't understand is your anger against religion, I understand that you have a had a bad experience with it, but just because people misuse it does not mean that it is bad. Both Caydock and I are Christians, we're not haters? We're not evil?

Little side not I wanted to add: The Church is being persecuted in several countries.

I've been itching to ask you something, but I'm afraid it'll offend you, mind if I go ahead anyways?
