When did you first come to the Stories Forum?

What was the name of, and when did you write your first story on these forums? How does the skill differ from now?

What are some other stories you've written, and how were they different?

Who were some people that you befriended, and some that helped you with your writing?

Do you have any signatures that you could flaunt?

What advice do you have for aspiring writers?

How have you done away with writer's block?

Are there any events on these boards that have changed your writing signifigantly?

And finally:

Was there ever a time where you thought about quitting writing as a whole/A time where you thought about never coming back to these forums? What made you change your mind?

There it is! :)

While you're waiting for adds here, you may wish to check out the predecesser to Gold and Silver, Moon and Sun. It's called Sisters, and although it starts off a bit slow (it's the first story I ever wrote), it does pick up as it goes along.

Hrum. :P Yes, I remember that as well. Good times good times . . . (for Sukrae and Teegan anyway!)

I have finished! \/

----

When did you first come to the Stories Forum?

-

About June first, 2006, I think.

----

What was the name of, and when did you write your first story on these forums? How does the skill differ from now?

-

My first story was called 'Sisters', and I started it on the sixteenth of June, 2006. When I first started, I wasn't sure how to use commas and quotation marks, so I just threw them in at random intervals. I didn't put in any spaces, either, and the spelling was riddled with errors. It was kind of a wreck.

A couple people came by and told me what I was doing wrong in the punctuation line, but I had no clue what they were saying. It took me a while to pick up stuff, but in a couple weeks 'Sisters' was much easier to read. Right now I think I'm doing pretty well in that area, although I'm sure there's still a few mistakes lurking about.

----

What are some other stories you've written, and how were they different?

-

It's a long list. After 'Sisters' I wrote a story called 'I'm Trapped'. I knew much more about what I was doing by then, and it went quite well, although not perfect. 'I'm Trapped' has now been finished.

After that, I wrote (in order, I think) 'Tales of the House of Turlenn', 'Short Stories', and 'Gold and Silver, Moon and Sun'. A couple joint stories are 'A Web of Lace', and 'Resurrection of a Hero'. 'Gold and Silver, Moon and Sun' is the sequel to 'Sisters'.

All of them are still living except 'Tales of the House of Turlenn'. Those are what I've posted here. I have a few other stories that will never be posted online ---- those are the ones I'm hoping to get published. The one I'm currently writing on is now seventy-six pages.

It's hard to resist posting my new stories here, but so far I've managed it. They're quite a lot better than my forums-stories, or so I think, anyway.

Who were some people that you befriended, and some that helped you with your writing?

-

I don't have any very close friends, mostly because I've moved away from the forums lately (I hope that's why anyway!). I enjoy reading Zai's (Zaibatsu 0's) work, and learned a lot about punctuation from that. I like talking to Maia Smith, and reading her writing. Tman (Tman Da Man1) is quite a good friend, and actually appears as a character in 'I'm Trapped'.

----

Do you have any signatures that you could flaunt?

-

Mostly from dead guilds. Currently, I'm pretty sure that I'm a Golden member of The Writer's Temple. I'm also a Pen Master of The Golden Pen (if I'm allowed to name it on here).

----

What advice do you have for aspiring writers?

-

Find an style you're interested in and some characters you like, and just keep writing. Also the saying 'write what you know' comes in handy. I once tried to stick a story in a setting which I knew absolutely nothing about, and I just couldn't do it.

Personally, I like to write fantasy. Nobody can contradict you! It's not like somebody can come up and say 'oh sorry, you can't put a dual-bladed spear in there'. You can use what settings you like, make up some great weapons, and put in a few new races if you want to. The characters are also important, as I find that if I'm not interested in my characters, than I can't write their story.

----

How have you done away with writer's block?

-

If I'm interested in my story than I won't get writer's block at all, so I try to stay that way. It helps to keep myself guessing ---- I never know what the ending'll be until I get there. If I have to improvise and make things up as I go along, then I'm impervious to writer's block!

----

Are there any events on these boards that have changed your writing significantly?

-

No, not really.

And finally:

Was there ever a time where you thought about quitting writing as a whole/A time where you thought about never coming back to these forums? What made you change your mind?

-

I've never thought about quitting writing. I have a lot of other stuff going on ---- two dogs, three gerbils, five sheep, and two goats, plus curling, curling, curling. Curling is pretty much my life for about five months a year. I don't have much time to write, or much time to grow tired of it.

As for the forums, I've never considered leaving. I like it here, although I'm not on too much now. In a few months, when I've finished my current work, I hope to come back and write on my stories here. Then I'll be more active.

Thanks for interviewing me, I'm honoured!

I can't believe you didn't mention me... I'm very offended Anne. Just joking. Seriously though... I even made you a character in my book. Oh well. Anyways I've completly changed the story line. When I started it I was twelve so I was more into the fighting sequences, however, now I'm getting into more detail and feelings between the character shaped after you (tell me what name you would like for her) and Tresnor (main character) as well as realationships between other people. Not to mention those two won't be so quick and eager like Sukrae and Teegan. Blasted walls will be too thin! ;) man... thanks a lot for having that in my head for the rest of my life. Anyways, if you get online then I could give you my business (writing contact) (sadly enough, I have to go leet, hope you understand it) 3-m4i1.

Later! Say hi to Dusty and Anne and Trever, and the rest of the gang from I'm Trapped!
