In Zaros's downfall, it is thought the staff would not be enough to do what it did to Zaros, thus the Stone of Jas was involved. We are told that 'Lucien's betrayal was greater than the others', thus we believe it was him channeling the power of the stone for Zamorak to use against Zaros, and would explain how Lucien knew about the Stone.
Then, there's how Lucien intends to use the stone now he has it. It's thought he'll use it at the ritual, to get more power from it, then also proclaim his power to the other Mahjarrat, before taking down Zamorak. But will thing be so simple?
I hope this has helped some stuff, and if you have any questions, feal free to ask
.
and now zoink we must consider my crazy theory on the mysterious red mist power that occured sometime back in january.... in combination with your theory with lucien.
if lucien does indeed plan to backstab zamorak, and then we see a mysterious red power blast runescape... let me see... let's be creative here...
now i suppose that the obvious inference from this is that the ritual has occured and lucien has taken action in something or another?
we don't know for sure yet. maybe it was some other event of signifigance like Zamorak using a power of some sort to advance his plans on the Elf front. we won't really know until JaGeX tells us more but theories are as good as we can get right now. pretty damn good theories but theories none the less.
hey, i was just checking the dungeon-area underneath Yanille and i found a grave with the Zaros symbol on it near the hand-bars. it's surrounded by Chaos Druids, too. i think that says something, for sure. if memory serves, they follow Zamorak and Guthix, perhaps Zammy told them to watch over the grave site for some reason.

hey peach, you talking about the elven front reminded me something.
after the "occurence" i saw a forum mod post his idea about how the red stuff looked a bit like something from within the light, something about a temple... '
anyhow, the thing about those "zaros graves" is that they are all across runescape. look in just about every graveyard and you'll find one. A grave of particular interest is one near to the mind runecrafting altar. it is HUGE! and i don't mean just a nice large gravestone, i mean the size of a small house.
well, the signifigance in the one i saw under Yanille is the fact that it was surrounded by Chaos Druids and underground. that might say something. who knows but i have a feeling that they MIGHT have some role to play in the future. note emphasis on the word MIGHT.
Profiled, also, amazing thread man, absolutely amazing. I've been working on theories and trying to learn as much as I can about the history of runescape as I can. And I havent found a flaw on your post yet. One thing I am very curious about (seeing as I have not found much of a history on this either) are the icenyns. Do you have any more information on this
reclusive race, otherthen the fact draken is holding possibly 2 hostage? And I also noticed that silske isn't mentioned alot here, expecialy for being one of Zaros' favorite mahjjarat. There were a number other mahjjarats that I noticed Arnt here.

Also at the next Ritual, is t possible that a war, or atleast amazingly cool battle, could erupt between the mahjjarats that are still zarosians vs the zamorakian ones? I guess that's my theory about whAt's gunnar happen the ritual
