Hello!

Just wanted to say few things about the twist.

Suntanman 3, your entry was personally my favorite. I just love the syntax and the entire flow of the entry. There was something very rustic and it almost personified the wind itself. There was a charm to your story and I really enjoyed it!

I would also like to clarify the intent or purpose of my piece. I was trying to write the entry with the "impressionistic" style, hence Monet's "Impression, Sunrise" as the title. I tried to achieve blurred images that together would create a holistic portrait. So I heavily relied on the paradoxical connotations of words throughout the piece. It took me hours to brainstorm, select and arrange these words into a sentence. To further create a "blurred" feeling, the entry was written as a symbolic story for human existence. Anyways, that's my two cents. Glad I was top 3 and I wish everyone the best of luck!

Yeah, I got the whole Monet thing, Nguy. It really was very close between you and Ogdred, but I just felt that his had more impact. I am curious as to why you didn't use the extra 17 words? Not that there was anything wrong with the story in its current state, but I feel you could've have lifted it a little more by using the extent of the word limit. Anyway, I appreciate your feedback on the matter.

Well, I thought I had another half day but I didn't check with the GMT. So I had to cut short with my story. I was going to add another diction-filled sentence, but with the time I was allotted, I would have made lackluster sentence that would have seriously sacrificed the artistic integrity of the piece. I'm not quite satisfied with the end product, but it was the best I could do with the deadline. In any case, Ogdred was a much better pick! He really did captured something beautiful, yet unsettling.

Hell, in hindsight I should've taken longer than 11 minutes to think of and write a 50 word story. I also should've written about prisons, too, because I was pretty trapped that day D: It is what it is, though. I will resume poking Leb with a stick until he makes another contest :p
