With this statement, a green bolt of lightning struck the lone green chair within the room, and when it gave way in its place was a tall middle-aged man; although whether the being could truly be called a 'man' was debatable. He towered at nearly seven feet, and possessed blue hair and yellow-green eyes, while his skin was a dark red that looked more in place on a demon than something with human features. Unlike his two companions, he wore armor, made from an odd sort of green crystal.
“Oh, Arc,” sighed Amethyst, displeasure emanating from his voice, “You're here.”
“It's Emerald now,* said the newcomer.
“I do not know how you managed to do the impossible and kill the previous holder of that name,” said Amethyst, “But the act of doing so does not make you an Endless Witch, even if a certain nosy witch has given you her approval as one. Likewise, I have no idea how you managed to achieve immortality, but I am very certain it was not by your own power.”
“You're just jealous of Emerald's awesomeness,” retorted the girl.
Amethyst raised an eyebrow at this statement and asked, “Is that so?”
“Yes it is,” replied the girl.
Amethyst smiled to himself and said, “Well, Ruby, since you invited a new player for this game, I thought I would do likewise.”
At this statement, Ruby's eyes grew large and she questioned, “It's not HER is it?! Amethyst... You actually did it didn't you? Well, Fu-”
“No profanity Ruby, Witch of Dynamism, it isn't civil,” said a new voice, this one also a lady's. As this voice spoke, blue writing appeared over one of the three blue chairs, and soon formed into a woman. She had long, white hair, and pale blue eyes, and wore a formal dress made with cloth in varying shades of blue. Pinned to her shirt was a star made of sapphires, and she, more than any of the other four held herself with dignity and grace.
“Sapphire, the rule hag,” hissed Ruby.
“By which you mean the Witch of Decrees,” commented Amethyst.

“Oh,” commented Sapphire, “Arc is here as well. I thought this was an exclusive meeting of the Endless Witches.”
“Emerald is an Endless Witch!” protested Ruby.
Sapphire motioned with her hand, and more writing appeared in the air. When this vanished, in its place stood a grey haired man wearing a butler's uniform.
“You called, my lady?” asked the butler, bowing to Sapphire.
“The book of the Endless Witches, please,” replied Sapphire.
The butler raised his head, and snapped. When he did so, a cube of writing appeared within his hands and became a book which he handed to Sapphire. Sapphire opened the book and read, “To become an Endless Witch one must possess such magic as to make him or herself immortal. Furthermore, upon casting the spell that would achieve this, Death himself shall become incarnate before the sorcerer or sorceress attempting to become such. Not willing to let one escape his grasp, Death shall wage battle upon the mage who is trying to become immortal, and use all the magic that has ever been known to those who have fallen under his sway. This battle shall take place on the spiritual realm, and should Death win, the mage's power shall flow unto Death. However, should Death lose, he must concede his power over the mage who defeated him, and grant that mage immortality.”
Closing the book, Sapphire added, “Emerald shouldn't have lost to a mortal, no matter how powerful. Likewise, Arc should not have achieved immortality, since he neither performed a ritual to achieve such, nor did he defeat Death.”
“Apparently Death realized he couldn't beat me since I beat someone who defeated him,” replied Arc.

“Death is immortal, and has nothing to lose by attempting to defeat you,” replied Sapphire. “If he loses, you become immortal like you were trying to do anyway, if he wins, he gets you immediately. Thus he will fight you no matter how powerful you are. The only exception to this rule of becoming an Endless Witch was Diamond, who let Death take him, and then fought against Death within Death's own realm, where Death is most powerful.”
“Why did he do that?” asked Arc.
“To demonstrate his powers I assume,” said Amethyst, “Death is also an endless power. And once one is dead, the process is irreversible... We can re-animate a corpse, or call up the soul of the deceased, but to combine body, mind, spirit and soul? That is impossible, even for an Endless Witch. However, Diamond allowed himself to die, and then defeated Death and resurrected himself, this is an Eternal Power, beyond that of the Endless Witches, the elder gods, and even the primordial gods.”
“But you've resurrected people before!” protested Ruby.
“You are only partially correct,” replied Amethyst, “I have restored life to those within the moment of death. Not the dead.”
“What's the difference?” asked Arc.
“For anywhere from fifteen minutes to three hours after being medically dead,” replied Sapphire, “The soul and body are connected, albeit the connection is decaying. During that time, one with sufficient power can restore the strength of that connection, causing a person to return to life. Science of a sufficient level can do this, as can magic. However, after the soul departs into the afterlife, one is truly dead. Then there is nothing you can do but check that person for valuable possessions and give their remains a respectful send off.
But enough of this, back to the game at hand. Since Arc and I are late, will you two fill us in?”

“Very well,” said Amethyst, “The goal of this game, as you know, is to correctly predict which of Gielinor's gods will end up victorious in a sort of battle royale... In other words, who shall be the last god standing? Currently, the situation is as follows, Zaros is trying to achieve a full return, to do so, he needs the Evil Weapons of Destiny to be used in certain temples, opening the Pandaemonium Gates; in doing so allowing him to call forth an endless supply of demons, and allowing him to rebuild and expand his empire with their aid. Currently, his sway over Gielinor is strong enough that he can manifest an avatar, and perform some slight intervention.
On the exact opposite side of this are Armadyl's followers, who wish to use the Holy Weapons of Destiny to open the Beatific Gates, allowing Armadyl's kin into Gielinor, and essentially claiming it as a protectorate of the Inner Kingdom. It is possible that Saradomin will end up siding with him, although such is not the case now.
The other major side is Guthix's. Guthix wants the Weapons sealed away once more. Since the Weapons are of Endless nature, they cannot be destroyed even by him. Nonetheless, he realizes that if either gate were opened, it would distort the balance, possibly in an irreversible way. Joining Guthix in this desire to maintain balance, are theoretically the Menaphite Pantheon, and Seren, although, she could potentially switch to Armadyl's side, in attempt to bring the secrets of the inner kingdom's flora and fauna to Gielinor...
The two minor sides are Zamorak's which wants the Weapons to overthrow order and establish anarchy. Recently, his forces have begun to be annihilated by a genocide organized by the Zarosians.
Finally is Saradomin's side, which wishes to use the Weapons to get rid of both Zamorak's and Zaros' forces and establish a new world order. As usual he is arrogant enough to think that he can control the Evil Weapons as well as the Holy ones...

The current situation is thus; Zaros has increased his sway tremendously, and is rising to his former power. He has recently claimed the Cult of Darkness, and of course, the Cult of the Void allied with him earlier, as such he holds two of the six ancient cults under his sway. He is also trying to eliminate the Pagkosmios Cult, which has only a minor sway in that world.
Meanwhile the Cult of Light has allied with Saradomin, the Cult of Chaos is allied with Zamorak, but more manipulating him than aiding him, and the Cult of Order has thus far remained neutral. It is possible however, given its traditional closeness with the Cult of Darkness, that the Cult of Order will ally with Zaros as well.
So far the bets are as follows; I have placed my bet on Zaros achieving his goal of a worldwide empire, and Rose has put her bets on Zamorak's goal of anarchy and chaos. Feel free to place your own bets at this time, but remember you are not betting on the gods themselves so much as their goals... Also declare your allies, and your direct and indirect pieces.”
“I have the advantage here,” commented Arc, “As I am originally from Gielinor; my bets are on Guthix, since he's the most powerful god there.”
“Very well,” said Amethyst, “And your pieces?”
“Don't need none,” replied Arc.
“I see...* commented Amethyst, “Sapphire?”

“My bet is on Armadyl,” replied Sapphire, “My indirect pieces consist of the Cult of Order, the Aviansie, Armadyl's followers, and Saradomin's followers. My allies are Seren, Armadyl and Saradomin, and I have no direct pieces.”
“Alright then,” said Amethyst, *It seems we are set.*
*Not so fast,” replied Sapphire, “Would the two of you state your pieces and allies?”
“Zamorak and his followers are my indirect pieces,” replied Ruby, “Bandos and Rose are my direct pieces. I have no allies.”
“The Cult of Darkness, the Zarosians, and the Kandarin army are my indirect pieces,” said Amethyst, “My ally is Zaros. I likewise have no direct pieces.”
“Now we are set,* proclaimed Sapphire, “Let the game begin.”

The Endless Witches are back. For those of you who need a refresher, an Endless Witch is one who has achieved so much power that he or she is now immortal, and impossible to kill (as in the add, guys can be witches too.) They are about as powerful as the gods, and as such have agreed not to directly involve themselves in the affairs of mortals. However, since the only possible way to kill an endless witch is by boring him or her so much they allow Death to reclaim them, the Endless Witches are often looking for "games" to amuse themselves with. These "games" often use mortals as mere pawns, and thus, the few mortals aware of the Endless Witches aren't normally too fond of them.
Some terms from the last add you should know.
Pieces: Any being, mortal or magical that is used by an Endless Witch in attempt to win one of their "games."
Indirect Pieces: A term Endless Witches use for any "piece" that is not directly under their control, but is nonetheless influenced by the witch (usually by being manipulated or otherwise convinced into doing what the witch wants.)
Direct Pieces: A term used to refer to any piece, that is directly under the Endless Witch's control, mostly avatars of the witch himself or herself and chattel (magical constructs, or mortals bound by oath to act as a servant/slave of the Endless Witch in question.)
Allies: Beings that share the viewpoints of an Endless Witch but are too powerful for an Endless Witch to control. Mostly consisting of mages of the Second Realm or higher (e.g. most mahjarret) and the gods.

Hm, Australia, then I guess that my adds are scheduled for Wednesday on the Monolith and Friday for this. And in actuality should probably be up some time in the afternoon there... (This is assuming I recall correctly, and Australia has three time zones that are +8, +9, and +10 GMT/UCT. Correct me if I'm wrong though...)

Name: Impervious Malordus Potworth or just 'Imp'
Age: He appears to be ten and is often treated thus. However, his true age seems to go back to around the end of the Third Age.
Gender: Male (sorry for the stereotype, not as good with female)
Race: Mahjarrat (hear me out; he is a lesser Mahjarrat who was claimed by failing the Ritual. After death he became an essence of his former shell [elaborated in history] His essence is that of an elemental of purifying fire, and the death of his body causes him to search for a replacement, usually recently deceased body of any race. His ancient name was forgotten for protection, and he prefers 'Imp.' His current body is a vampire.
Appearance: Imp appears to be a normal boy; dark eyes, dark hair and slightly tanned skin. His eyes squint when he is focussing on something and if clearly examined, reveal his pupil to house an inner flame. He seems to have unnatural control over his body, and its full potential.
Religion: It is still religion if he knows that exist? If so, then Jas-ism: he believes Jas is still present in the world and needs to be found.
Alignment: Neutral: his old memories remember the atrocities committed by all sides, so he does not have a preference. He supports household gods, Bandos (for his stupidity) and the Menaphite Pantheon (for their similarities).
History: Quite long ago, Imp was a lesser mahjarrat. His death in the Ritual lead to an intervention due to interest piqued in both a Phoenix and Flamtaer, the household god of ceremonial fire [which has yet to be disproved]. This interest selected him as the Chosen of Flamtaer - where lesser to High Mages or other Chosens, still has considerable power. Since then he has the life of a Nomad, only interested by battle or discovery. He prefers to keep out of political conflicts, but enjoys battle, knowing that he can easily repossess another fallen body if his current one fails.
Weapon: Pyrokinetic abilities; fire shield, flight, fire ball, heat wave..
