This is up for discussion.
Would you rather have style one:
"Page 2, Plot Devices
This section of the guide is easy to describe. Within, you will find information on plot twists, how to change a scene effectively, flashbacks and their usage, and how to structure your story efficiently. Also be sure to check out the FAQ if you have any further questions that aren't covered, or post your question onto the thread for direct feedback."
-- This would involve having descriptions set out for every page on the Table of Contents.
Or, would you rather:
"Page 7, General Storywriting
Here you will find tips on how to create a world of your own. [Subsections: Originality, Manipulating The World, Short Stories]"
-- This would include a short sentence on what's involved, and then, in brackets, the names of such sections.

Wow, there's more Green on this thread then brown. O_o I think the short and sweet one is good. There really isn't a point of putting it all there. They can just read that actual section to find out.
Bye the way: Please tell me if I am wrong but I noticed no advice on the uses of 1st person and 2nd person views (and many others). I don't know if you thought that this just wasn't that big of an issue for story writers but I think it would be a good section so authors might help choose which style they want to write in. Just a suggestion.

And that's a great idea, I think! I'm going to be running something of a massive brainstorming thing ingame sometime soon, to see what can be discussed in the new rendition of the guide. Of course, that may mean lengthening it, but still.

While I'm not a frequent visitor of the *tories forum, I'm a fair hand with a pen and paper.
I learned a lot from this thread, but I feel as though I can contribute as well. If you want me to submit an application, just tell me what to write and I'm on it.
I'd love to exemplify this into an even larger resource than it currently is.
Typed this out quickly, I've got to run for now. Just dropping by to see if I can help out.
