Hello, everyone. I'm back! If you don't know who I am, then that's okay because the last time I made a post on these forums was 6 months ago! Anyways, people like Capt and Taunter and other people (sorry if you're reading this and I forgot you! It's just been so long). So hello to my old friends and some that I will soon meet!
Anyway, the main reason that I made this plot was because I had an idea of what I could add to "Your First Story" thread. So if Capt could get back to me and discuss the idea with me that would be great! Thankyou!

So if I'm getting this correctly, the *ahem* "Seven Deadly Sins of Writing" are as follows:
1. Block Text
2. Clichés
3. Bad Page Breaks
4. Capitalization
5. Comma Splices
6. Plagiarism
7. Run-on Sentences.

Should these be in any particular order? And are we seriously considering putting this up, or is this more of a one-off thing?

Thankyou for getting back so soon, Capt! I'm excited to see this mix of new and old faces!
The Idea: My idea woul be for me to make some type of plot chart (not the ones that you may have learned about when learning to read and record the plots in school). This "Plot Chart" would have questions and guidlines to making a plot for your story. For example:
1. Character Names: __________, _________ & ************
2. Character Traits: _________ ___________ __________ ________ __________...
3. Main Problem: _____________
4. Steps to Solving that problem ___________, ___________, __________, ____________
Maybe not in that order and maybe with much more steps than that but soething of the sort.
People can copy and paste this into a word document and fill in as many places as they can. Then, they can leave some blank and maybe after looking over all their other information they can fill in the blanks.
Why this would help: This would help writers who are in the stage of developing a plot. It will also help writers to get their mind set and not just throw words on a page or think about ideas in their heads of a plot but write it down and look back at it.
What are your thoughts?

Veran - Has to go through Poller. :P Everything does.
O - I think..****. Well, it could work with helping specific issues, which is good, and it can lead people to know what's wrong with their story and what they need help with. It's a solid idea and a "fill-in-chart" like that could be helpful.
I think it's a good idea; the only problem is that it might be underused and people may just ask question at their own will.
Gonna talk to Poller.
