I was thinking about writing a "Seven Deadly Sins of Literature" passage for the guide. I thought up three of them, and it's gonna bother me now.
Any ideas?
The current list:
1. Block Text
2. Clichés
3. Bad page breakes
Dunno where it'd go, perhaps with misc, but still an idea.

1. Block Text
2. Clichés
3. Bad Page Breaks
4. Capitalization
5. Comma Splices
6. Plagiarism
7. ???
Also, Level has alerted me that I should put something like the following in the guide:
"If you start talking about a dog, make sure the next sentence is about a dog, but then start to trail into talking about a cat if you want your next sentence to be about a cat."

I still think topicality has to go up there.
If you're writing about some epic quest to drop a ring into a volcano (totally original, I know), you can't start being distracted by the epic journey of someone reclaiming a mystical orb to defeat an insane god (also totally original. meh) unless it has direct bearing on the ring and volcano.
Makes sense to me... *grumble grumble*

EDIT: If anything else, make it run-on sentences. Look at the above sentence for an example of why...
meh...
