I'm sorry for it taking so long. I just didn't have any motivation and Drama was doing that. Today, just for you guys, I got off my lazy rear and wrote that chapter. It's no longer the final chapter. It's Chapter 12. The final chapter is after that. Then the epilogue. After that, it'll be over.
For those who are still here even though the time between some adds were ridiculously long, I thank you too much. I shouldn't have delayed that long. I aplogize.
Kingankit1, you see how long the last add was before this one? Almost two months. I'm surprised this thread wasn't left to die. I'm not creating a sequel. Plus, the way I have it will be impossible.
And now, here's chapter 12! :D

Chapter 12: Redemption
Ever since we started to run, time seemed to stop; it was like running in a never ending vortex. I looked around and saw nothing but volcanoes being created by the second. Even though the seconds seemed like minutes, this was going by fast. Once the volcanoes grew, they not only erupted, but rather they exploded, making lava fall out of the sky like water falling out of a bucket.
“You have to be kidding!” Seren exclaimed, moving her head around like someone going nuts trying to find something. “So this is what would’ve happened. We don’t have much time left!”
“Right!” Zamorak announced. “Wait a second. Why did*’t you say anything back when Saradomin died?*
*I don’t know,” she said, starting to bury her head in her hands. “Now I kick myself for it; I should’ve at least said goodbye and thank you, but I just couldn’t do a thing.” She stopped and then started to cry.
Zamorak swept over, quicker than a hawk, and swiftly picked her up off the ground and started running. “Are you stupid!” he yelled. “This planet is going to blow in less than five minutes. We don’t have time to mourn! Now you run on your own two feet, or we’re all going to die!”
“But… but…” she stammered.
“But nothing!” he snapped. “Now run. I’m going to throw you now so you can start again.”
“Alright,” she said, making a sad sniffing sound with her nose.
“Ready?”
“Now!”
At that word, he threw her far along and she landed on her right foot, and was able to start running again after she landed on her left. She was now ahead of the rest of us, but because she had to catch her balance, we all were able to catch up to her.
“Ok, I did*’t expect it to be that bad!” she yelled.
“Stop complaining!” Zamorak barked. “Now where’s the core? We have no time left to dawdle around!”
“Alright, pushy!” she snapped back. “It’s right here. Everyone, stop now and focus your energy in to the ground!”

As we did, many different color auras left our bodies and soared high in the air. In the end, the colors created a rainbow, and then, like rain, the colors of our aura pelted through the ground. We continued having our energy flow, but were astonished at the view that our teamwork has put through. And every minute, the colors just seem to dance in the sky more beautifully as the sunlight pushed on top of it so they would drop to the ground.
“What a pretty view,” Sarah said, her eyes glittering just as the colors are.
I looked at her, smiling with such happiness. This is happiness I have never felt before in my life. “Isn’t it?”
“Alright, this is it!” Seren yelled, breaking off our concentration from the persuading colors; obviously she was more persuading now. “The ground will dissipate in 5… 4… 3… 2… and…”
That’* when it happened. The ground, like she said, dissipated in to thin air, sending us all hurtling down to a piece of ground that was underneath. The small path lead to the thing that keeps this planet together: its core.
“So now what do we do?” Zamorak asked, staring at Seren again.
“What are you looking at me for?” she said innocently.
“Well, why do you think?” he yelled. “You got us down here; now tell us how to get this thing back to normal!”
“I knew only how to get here,” Seren admitted “I have absolutely no clue how to stop it. You’re going to have to ask someone else here. Hopefully, one of them knows.”
“For the love of--” he started, completely irritated. “Why did*’t you tell us this earlier?”
“We had no time. We had to get over here; otherwise, the planet will explode and as you can tell, that’s going to be any minute.”
As she brought up the notion of hearing, we could not only hear, but feel the devastating earthquakes that were beyond any earthquake I have ever felt. What an explosion!

“We have to hurry!” Zamorak yelled. “Does anyone here know how to--”
“A god must be sacrificed,” Guthix said, intervening Zamorak’s rush. *That means one of us here must give up our lives to bring the planet back to normal. This includes restoring the people and the animals back to life.”
“That’*... that’s crazy!” Sarah screeched. "I don’* want anyone else to die! Why is it needed so much? And why does it have to be one of us that have to go?”
“We’re the only gods that know of this. The others either don’t know or don’t care. It has to be one of us,” Guthix explained. “And since it is my planet, I’ll sacrifice my life for it.”
He walked forward, getting closer and closer to the core, each step seeming slower and slower, like time has stopped almost completely. He turned his head back, and said “goodbye” before walking away once again. He stopped, surprised to see a hand that now was on top of his shoulder.
“What are you trying to do, Zamorak,” Guthix asked.
“You need to be here for your planet,” Zamorak “I should go, and everything will be balanced for you. That’* what you want, isn’t it, since Saradomin died?”
“Saradomin isn’t dead,” Guthix said. “He was merely distracted with a nuisance. The Saradomin I know wouldn’t die to such an opponent.”
“Are you that brain-dead?” Zamorak said, stomping the ground with his foot, which broke off a chunk of it. “That thing was god-like and it was an enraged creature on your planet. Saradomin is dead! I can’t feel his aura. You know what that means don’t you?
“Unfortunately, yes,” Guthix admitted. “I wanted to believe that he’s alive, but he’s dead. I want to join him and save the planet. I guess you can say I killed two birds with one stone. Now let me go; I’m ready to do what I must.”
“I won’t let you go,” Zamorak said.

Guthix’s eyes grew wide when he heard those words, but then they turned back to normal in a split second. “You’re going to let the planet blow, aren’t you? It’ll be a thrill, won’t it?” he yelled, taking Zamorak’s hand and throwing it off his shoulder.
Zamorak punched him straight across the face, leaving his face bruised. *I don’t think you understand,” he said. “I’m not going to let you go because I’ll be the one going. You have a planet to be here for. What about me? My main rival is dead and I have no competition. I’d be better off dead. I mean, wouldn’t the balance be even?” He winked after that last sentence.
“Why would you do this? What’s your main reason?” Guthix said, barely able to speak. “I can tell you’re hiding something. What would make you go to such an extent?”
Zamorak walked past Guthix, and turned his head around. His eyes looked different. Instead of them being an evil black, they turned in to a gentle brown. “I committed so many crimes. I did so many bad things to this planet. After traveling with you guys, I learned how being good is so much better than evil. Saradomin is gone and evil overtakes the planet. I should repent for what I’ve done and die for the better of the planet.”
The core was now spewing out lava where they were standing. The planet was almost done for.
Now tears flowed even out of Guthix’s eyes. “I can’t believe even you would do something like this. You really have changed.” He walked back in forth, scratching his head. “I guess I have no choice. You’re right. Thanks too much, Zamorak, and I’ll never forget you for it. Your name will be recorded in history and that I promise.”
“Dad!” I exclaimed, running over to him. “You can’t go! If you go, I go!”

“No, my son,” Zamorak said. “You can’t die yet. You have so much more to live for.” He pointed to Sarah and said, “You also have that girl to take care of. She would be devastated if you die too. She already lost her father. If she loses you, she’ll lose it all.”
“Please, Zamak. Don’t go,” Sarah yelled, down on her knees, crying. “I can’t lose you too.”
“See what I mean?” Zamorak asked.
“I do, Dad. You’re right. As hard as it is for me to leave you, Sarah needs me more. I love you,” I finished, hugging my dad.
“And I love you too,” he said, accepting the hug.
Lava was now exploding out of the core; there was no time left. Zamorak walked towards the core, and waved his hand up. Before he got to it, he turned his head once more. “Seren, make sure you and Guthix get you all out of here, and take care of the planet.”
“Zamorak, I promise!” she cried. Tears were flowing out of her eyes too. “Thank you too much for doing this. I never believed an ignoramus like you would do such a thing.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment,” Zamorak said.
“Good call,” she replied.
“Guthix, I’m sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused over the couple of thousands of years we’ve had to deal with each other. I hope you can forgive me.”
“It’s already been done when you decided to do this. Now go,” Guthix said, crying.
The last thing I could see was Guthix darting to get to Sarah, Seren, and myself. Lava burst fiercely out of the core. In seconds, the planet would blow. The last thing I saw and the last thing I heard was my father’s scream as he tried to get it back to normal.
“Goodbye, father,” were my last words to him as we teleported out, and then nothing but blackness was left.
End of Chapter 12
