Tonight I grabbed some proteans from the bank at The Grand Exchange and hopped to World 3. This location was much busier than I was accustomed to seeing on my usual home world. Many individuals were gathered here, deploying portables and combat dummies, with pulse cores and cinder cores going off all over the area. I took advantage of the situation.
First, I enhanced the fletch and burn option on 60 protean logs by using a portable fletcher. As I fletched and burned protean log #59, I reached 80 Firemaking.
Then I used 60 protean dragonhides with a portable crafter. After I had gone through 15 hides, I managed to get 73 Crafting.
I fletched and burned another load of protean logs, and crafted another batch of protean hides, before I teleported to Lumbridge. Here I used 90 protean bars to do some protean necronium smithing. I did not gain a Smithing level, but I did use up all my BXP in that skill.
Currently, the only skill I still have BXP left on is Firemaking.

Kat

This morning I hopped on to World 3 again and entered The Grand Exchange. There was a large crowd here, using portables and combat dummies. Many were firing off pulse cores and cinder cores. Once again, I took advantage of the situation. Soon I had a 2% cinder core boost and a 10% pulse core boost. I took 180 protean logs out of my bank and looked for someone who had deployed a portable brazier.
At first, all I saw were portable crafters, fletchers, and ranges, along with several melee and ranged combat dummies. I attacked three different melee combat dummies.
Eventually, somebody did deploy a portable brazier. I began burning my 180 protean logs. The brazier saved me quite a few logs. When I had 100 protean logs left in my backpack, I reached 81 Firemaking. I also completed a Firemaking challenge, but I waited until I gained the skill level before I redeemed this challenge.
While burning these protean logs, I managed to free two fire spirits. To thank me for freeing them, the fire spirits bestowed upon me 12 cosmic runes and 6 death runes.
I still have over 149k BXP left on Firemaking.

Kat

This evening I completed a Daily Woodcutting Challenge by chopping a dozen yew logs west of Lumbridge Market. Then I completed a Daily Mining Challenge by mining five gold ores north of Al Kharid. I used a token to skip the Daily Dungeoneering Challenge.
Redeeming these challenges got me 67 Woodcutting.
After I obtained the gold ores, I mined an uncommon gem rock. I got 8 sapphires, 13 emeralds, and 2 rubies. After I had cut all 23 gems, I fletched the pair of rubies into 24 ruby bolt tips. This freed up one space in my backpack. I mined the gem rock again and found a sapphire.
I teleported to Lumbridge, where I smelted the gold ores into bars before I emptied my pack into the nearby bank chest.

This afternoon I returned to World 3 and entered The Grand Exchange with 210 protean logs, 4 pulse cores, and 9 cinder cores. Yet again, there was a huge crowd here, using portables and combat dummies. Many were firing off pulse cores and cinder cores. I used my cinder cores first, then my pulse cores, as I burned my protean logs in portable braziers others had set up. For some time I had a 10% cinder core boost and a 10% pulse core boost active.
Again, the braziers saved me quite a few protean logs. When I had 177 protean logs left in my backpack, I reached 82 Firemaking. When my supply of logs was reduced to 55, I got 83 Firemaking. I managed to burn up all my BXP in this skill. I have no BXP left at all now.
While burning these protean logs, I also freed a fire spirit. It gave me 6 death runes.
There were portable crafters, fletchers, and ranges in operation as well, along with several melee, magic, and ranged combat dummies. I attacked two melee combat dummies. I also cooked 25 raw lobsters and 7 raw trout on a portable range. I successfully cooked 21/25 lobsters and burned 4 of them. The range created an extra lobster for me, which was sent to my bank. I low-alched the burnt lobsters and banked the cooked ones. I successfully cooked all 7 trout and sold them on the G.E. for 1,225gp.

Very good! I love reading how portable stations are helping you!

Thank you Jamandy52. I did indeed find the portable skilling stations to be quite useful.
The protean hides and logs I saved I ended up using anyway for added XP gains. Also, the extra Cooking XP I received from the ranges was helpful.
I still have unused portables in the bank. I will save these for future DXP events, or perhaps I will employ them to advance along the Yak Track.

This afternoon, after 11 days, my offer to buy a pair of Dark Mystic gloves on The Grand Exchange finally completed. I paid 256,126gp for these gloves. My Dark Mystic robes set is now complete. It cost me a total of 570,794gp to put together this T50 magic armor set.

This morning I considered buying a Mystic wand and orb on The Grand Exchange, to go with the Dark Mystic robes I now possess. Then I thought, "I have the Crafting skill to make these items. I should just go ahead and create them myself." The only problem was I needed 4 pieces of mystic cloth in order to craft both the wand and the orb - and I had but one piece left in my bank. I required at least 3 additional pieces of mystic cloth. Fortunately, I knew where I could obtain more cloth. I grabbed my Skull Sceptre from my bank.
I used the Skull Sceptre to teleport to the shades on Level 4 of the Stronghold of Security. I immediately used the portal to transport to the nearby ankou. I attacked scores of them, plus an occasional ghost that foolishly got in my way. In addition to coins, the ankou dropped 2 left skull halves, 200 adamant arrows, 30 death runes, an uncut sapphire, 8 mithril stone spirits, a medium piece of bladed mithril salvage, a medium piece of plated mithril salvage, a tiny piece of plated adamant salvage, 4 noted yew logs, and 5 noted pieces of mystic cloth. I sold the stone spirits and the salvage but I banked everything else.
Then I took 4 pieces of mystic cloth from my bank, chopped a tree outside the Grand Exchange, and teleported to Burthorpe. I made my way south and got some free thread from Jack Oval. I used the logs I had brought with me from Varrock plus 2 mystic cloth to create a Mystic wand. I then used the remaining 2 pieces of mystic cloth to craft a Mystic orb. This used up one reel of thread. Jack was happy to give me a replacement for that.
I do not currently have an action bar set up for dual-wield magic. My new T50 magic gear provides me with incentive to do precisely that.
