@ Simbaha1: Grand Theft Auto 4 :P
@ Calcrulz: Thanks, extremely long overdue.
@ Our Soul: Bonds are definitely interesting, it's a good alternative to buying membership. And you might not want to race me to 99 Hunter... ;)

Hi!

With my temporary Divination avoidance still in full-force, I decided I take a small break from Barrows and head back to Glacors.

I'm not really after the boots-- In fact, I look forward to Elite Clues and effigies more! Unfortunately, I didn't get any of those, but I did manage to snag a couple Shards of Armadyl, boosting my current collection to 96.

Later, I headed back to Barrows... As you can see, Glacord and Barrows is really the only PvM I do! I used to kill the Corporeal Beast a lot, but I find it just takes too much concentration for my style, and the drops just aren't too great. I've been thinking of attempting a Bandos solo some day, and considering I have max combat and full tetsu, I shouldn't have an issue... But you never know when sheer noobiness will get you :(

So, back to the Barrows I went, and before long, I had looted Karil's Offhand Pistol Crossbow! I thought these things were around 50,000gp, but it turns out they're worth 909,000gp! That was a nice surprise!

A couple runs later, I looted my very first piece of the Crystal Triskelion! And just a few runs after that, I looted Karil's Pistol Crossbow, worth 3,800,000gp! I'd say that was a very successful Barrows trip!

When the daily reset rolled around, I was actually out with my girlfriend. So when I got home that night, I quickly completed the Super September Challenge (Complete a game of Big Chinchompa) and then got to work on catching my daily 63 Jadinkos.

This is it folks. After all my XP rewards, I am a mere 8000xp away from 99 Hunter. Man, I hated Hunter... And I am forever thankful that I barely had to train it past level 94! I guess I'll be getting that tomorrow!

Thanks for reading!

Good night! :)

@ Dr Epic Pwn: Welcome back! :D

Hey folks!

Well, yesterday it finally happened. After submitting my Super September challenge, I used the resulting XP reward on Hunter. And achieved level 99 Hunter. It was over! Agility and Hunter were the two 99s I knew were going to be the worst to get, and now that I've completed both of them, I feel like I'll have a Max Cape in no time! Of course, Divination is a rather slow skill, so perhaps it'll take longer than I'd like :P

Now that I could finally do my Divination and Dungeoneering challenges, I went ahead and completed those.

Today, I woke up and immediately decided to go for a Barrows run (don't you love the weekends?). On that very first run, I looted Dharok's Platebody! I did quite a few more runs, but didn't get any more items :(

Later, I finally decided it was time to man up and try to solo General Graardor for the first time. My brother, who started playing Runescape this summer, wants to try bossing, and I said I'd duo God Wars Dungeon with him... So I wanted to make sure that I could solo it should something bad happen.

I started preparing, bringing a Pack Yak full of Rocktails. I also brought Overloads, Prayer Potions, Winter Storage Scrolls and an emergency teleport.

After taking a few trips to the dungeon (I forgot to bring various god items, and I forgot to bring that teleport I mentioned), I started the long slog to hit 40 kill count. It took a while, but once I reached it, I entered the boss room.

With Turmoil and Soul Split on my Quick Curses, I started attacking General Graardor! It wasn't quite as difficult as I was afraid it might be, but it was pretty heavily reliant on luck. Some kills would be eays as pie, while other kills would have me pretty close to death.

All in all, it was pretty easy, and I'd do it again.

The first few kills were mostly comprised of rune items, such as Rune Platebodies and Rune Longswords. I found that multi-hit abilities worked best in conjunction with Soul Split when it came to healing prowess, so I tried to use those abilities as often as possible. Normally, this tactic resulted in one of the minions dying while my main attacks were focused on General Graardor.

After around ten solo kills, I actually received a unique drop, believe it or not. Bandos Tassets! Although not worth nearly as much as they used to be, it was still pretty cool to actually get my very first solo God Wars Dungeon rare drop. I left the dungeon after a few more kills and completed the Super September challenge (find the golden gnome; he was near the Exam Centre) and finished today's Dungeoneering challenge.

Thanks for reading!

Good night! :)

Hi!

Today, I did something I should have done a long time ago... I teamed up with my brother and went to the God Wars Dungeon! Okay, I guess we couldn't have gone a long time ago; he just achieved level 70 Strength yesterday! The only bossing experience he had was with Barrows and the Giant Mole, so going to the Bandos Stronghold was a big step up for him.

I tanked all of the attacks while LoneCone (my brother) sat in the corner and cats spells at General Graardor and his minions. The tactic worked well; because I had soloed the boss a few days ago, I knew I could survive, so I wasn't too worried about myself dying.

My brother didn't really take much damage at all, and we probably could have stayed there all day if I hadn't run out of Overloads, and my Pack Yak hadn't started disappearing. Next time, I'll have to remember not to pack so much food and to bring more Prayer Potions and Overloads.

Although we didn't get any big drops, we had a lot of fun, and I really hope we get to do it again. We managed to loot a Godsword Shard 1, along with a Dragon Spear and an Elite Clue. Because I was dealing the most damage, I banked all of the items with my Pack Yak and later, I split the earnings between us. It totaled about 630,000gp each. Not too great, but I think he may be hooked! Maybe we'll try Zamorak next...

After we had finished there, I completed my Elite Clue and opened a chest containing some Antifire potions, Super Restores, Law Runes and Teleport Scrolls... Not my best loot :|

That was all for today! Now that bonus XP has been released for Divination, I might start getting into that... But bossing is fun!

Thanks for reading!

Good night! :)

Phew, busy week!

What have I been doing on Runescape? Well, I decided that I would start working my way towards 99 Smithing, one of the remaining 99s I need for the Max Cape. Throughout my Runescape career, the only way I've trained Smithing is by smelting Gold Ore into Gold Bars, and now that that method isn't as cheap as it used to be, I figured I might as well give the Artisan's Workshop a go.

I did a bit of research on it and decided I would go with Mithril products. The first method I went for was Ceremonial Swords.

Man, these things were rage-inducing! I would try a hard-hit and would only dent it for one point, then do another one and dent it for 5... And all of a sudden my sword would be a useless piece of scrap metal.

I kept at it for a little while, but after getting frustrated constantly, I decided I wanted to try Ceremonial Burial Armour. I was smithing Tier II armour, and it was actually fairly decent XP. Not fast, but certainly not slow. Plus, it was fairly afk-able.

I made Mithril armour for a while, and gained around 400,000xp.

During my Dungeoneering Daily Challenge, I was meandering through a C6 Small Solo dungeon when I happened across a Frost Dragon. I knew there was a task related to these big guys, so I decided that I would try and finish it, right here.

So I needed to offer the bones at a prayer altar... Unfortunately, this dungeon didn't have one, and because it was so small, it was going to be very, very difficult to find the supplies needed to make one. But I knew that Frost Dragons were rare, so I headed out on my quest to find every item in the dungeon and sell it.

Boy did I skim it close. I literally had only 3000gp over the cost of a prayer altar after I had sold absolutely every single item in the entire dungeon. But I completed the task! I'll never have to worry about that one :D

Next up on the Runescape list was bossing with my brother! He has recently gotten into Bandos, and I duo it with him since he can't survive for too long on his own.

We had been duoing for a while, but had gotten really nothing worth value. I seem to get an Elite Clue every time I go to Bandos, and these past couple trips were no exception. So far, the only drops we've received are Godsword Shards 1 and 2.

Today, near the end of our trip, a clanmate asked if anyone was in the Bandos Chamber; he had died, and needed someone to bless it. Because I didn't want to see a clanmate lose his items, I told him I would do it. So, immediately after my brother and I had finished a kill, I quick-hopped to his world and blessed his grave.

Because I was now initiated in combat, I wasn't able to quick-hop back to my brother. So, I used the teleport option on the prayer altar and quick-hopped over to him as soon as I was in the safe-zone.

Alas, when I entered the boss room, I saw a grave... I quickly killed General Graardor and his minions (and I mean very quickly; he was near death) and tried to bless my brother's grave. It didn't work. Confused, I checked to see who's grave it was... It was my clanmates!

Some how, the quick-hop system logged me out and relogged me back into the world I was just in, for whatever reason. Realizing that my brother was probably getting owned in the dungeon, I quick-hopped to him again and saw him right as he was losing health rapidly. I used Provoke and managed to get General Graardor off of him, but the other minions were still on him, eager for their kill.

For some reason, my brother never used the teleport option on the altar, and as a result, died. His first bossing fatality. I finished off the minions, blessed his grave and decided to continue soloing until LoneCone came back to retrieve his items.

With no food at all, I was relying completely on Soul Split and healing abilities to keep me alive.
