Upon review, the bossfights are all pretty good, you don't need to use 4taa or surging or anything ridiculous, the main issue is this wasn't tested properly or fine tuned enough. The scales having such a low limit on ge, duo mode not saving checkpoints, the missing journal page and the hp not scaling to group size are all massive issues that should've been spotted. W42 - Asgarnian Admin, 6 year Loyal Kinshra and Pie Connoisseur.

I watched the story mode and I'm certain this isn't really an update for me, but I do enjoy watching it at least. Visually its very appealing and the boss mechanics are interesting - I just wish I was skilled enough for it. I can't comprehend what Jagex was thinking about when it comes to the rewards in story mode. I know the health is reduced by 50% and the attacks by 66%, but its still quite a challenge. I can't see myself ever really doing this content.

I have a feeling this was rushed through QA to get it released for the summer special, since they used that as an advertising feature of buying membership.

I'm just praying to Guthix that we have a better month ahead for July... O_o

Vorago Origins, Desert Treasure 2 and the Hunter Skillcape Quest are the only quests we know are currently in development. If they treat Elite Dungeons as a quest for a month, then we probably won't get one for July as the 2nd Elite Dungeon is coming out then. But hopefully August :D W42 - Asgarnian Admin, 6 year Loyal Kinshra and Pie Connoisseur.

Well BTS is out: We get ANOTHER Elite Dungeon, so since this'll be the 2nd hopefully there won't be as many issues.

Summoning Points are also increasing tenfold, to put it in line with Prayer Points

Plus Beach Event and the God Awful Runepass trial.

So this is looking to be a pretty crappy month. W42 - Asgarnian Admin, 6 year Loyal Kinshra and Pie Connoisseur.

You guys might want to check out this when you get a chance. 'Runepass' is coming... O_o

I'm not in a huge amount of rage over this, but I do feel its counterproductive to reducing dailyscape, only really adding to it.

I guess we'll see when we get our trail run next month.

I don't think they count Elite Dungeons as quests, although I sure hope that don't.

I didn't know that DT2 was confirmed, I thought it was still just an idea. I personally would rather Monkey Madness two over DT2 - but hey, I guess they want another excuse to make a hard boss fight. ;)

I'm thinking August is likely the next time we'll see a quest as well. We still have two other elite dungeons that they want to release as well.

Should of read your post before my post haha. Glad you saw it... I'm a bit worried as well. Jagex says they're listening and then the opposite of what we want they do. *smacks head*

I'm too stubborn to quit before getting Master Quest Cape, the quality of the updates until then will determine whether I stay or not, the only real thing keeping me here is friends who still play the game.

Runepass frustrates me immensely, especially as the increased MXT doesn't seem to equal better updates. I'd love to see Jagex release where the increased revenue is spent, to see what content is getting prioritised. I've been optimistic that the lack of quests is down to RS Mobile, Mining & Smithing Rework and Bank rework, so that when these are done the quests will come flowing, but I lose faith as each month passes. Sorry - been really busy IRL as of late.

I wrote a big constructive post on the thread in the RGU forum. I think the broader community is definitely on the same page in regards to Runepass. It feels almost as if we're getting more promotions than content updates now a days.

I don't personally mind the format, besides the fact that it adds to dailyscape, which has been a big concern of mine over the last couple of years. As I have gotten older, my free time to play has become less and less. While I always try to get on for a little, most of the time its taken up with Jagex's promotions and limited time events.

We should all agree that revenue and profit is important to this game's survival - but I don't understand how they make more money while we seem to get less value for it. It looks awfully similar to what happens in other big organizations.

I watched the stream with Mod Osborne's response and I felt he had empathy in his explanation as to why they're coming out with this and where he could see it in the future. But honestly, I think Jagex needs to step back and have a proper discussion with it's playerbase about the future strategy of this game and where they want to take it.

If they continue to annoy their most long time players, then she monetary success of theirs will be short lived.
