Please, give ALL stone spirits some value by improving their functionality. In current state they are already not OK for common PvM and are beyond unacceptable in high tier bossing where "risk vs reward" comes into play.

Other than that - Thanks for the patches.

What in the world are you smoking? Spirit shards are worth exactly 25 gp. That's what they buy for from NPCs, and that's what they sell for. The only time they weren't worth 25gp was the first month after the release of Summoning, when they were worth 50gp, but the price was halved to bring down cost of training. There is no magical "additional 2-3gp" that players are pulling out of thin air for owning spirit shards.

SO EVERY PERSON THAT PLAYED RS BEFORE BOSSES WERE RELEASED IS … what were the words used in Previous Posts on this thread? Wonderful to see the PVM'ers true colors shine through.

Oh what does this Stone spirit have to do with the Comp Cape? Glad you asked...
you all don't like skilling,
you don't want to USE the Stone spirits to make Bars & Items from the ores you could have mined, using the stone spirits for DOUBLE ORE drop & faster mining. Because you DON'T like skilling you want the Stone Spirits either removed from Bosses or completely removed from the Game. You say they have NO Value, but the fact is 1 Spirit gives an extra ore which means now you have 2 ores... 2 lights or 2 darks make around 12 k current ge price.

Rune ore was 11K, RUNE ELDER BAR takes 1 dark 1 light and 1 rune bar which takes 1 rune and 1 lum ore …. that's 6.6k, 6.5k, 3.1k and 1.1k = 17.3k each elder Bar made with out a stone spirit double ore drop.... add a x2 ore drop & these VALUES go much higher. Once the hype of the rework wears of the Market will stabilize. But to get the Profit you have to put in the effort in mining & smithing. Which seems something PVm'ers don't like after getting lvl 99.

You want something removed because you see no instant gratification or Profit.
Your argument to the PVM achievements are, that its part of the Game & skillers should suck it up, if they want the comp cape. You want us to be forced to kill Bosses. But you DON'T WANT TO BE FORCED to skill to make a profit. Making amour can be a good gp, if you put the effort into it.

With the current argument: of it's part of the game & you should complete EVERYTHING for the comp cape...
EVERYTHING DONE should INCLUDE "200 Mil exp. in EVERY Skill

If you don't agree Remove Bosses for us.

I'm hoping for filtering all smithing and mining related messages. Because those skills spam the chat like crazy now. Also remove the bank chest in Artisan's workshop. There's a bank close by anyway. I'm all for convenience but players should be able to spend an extra 5 seconds running to a bank without complaint, especially since they likely won't need to make frequent bank trips, as it takes forever to fill an inventory with freshly smithed gear.

And PLEASE, remove stone spirits from the game. They aren't necessary. And no, I don't care about PVM drops or whatever. Stone spirits are simply pointless.

Thank you for the update to Grace of the Elves. Many of us really needed that.
Thank you for the update to the Drakan necklace, though it was primarily a quality of life change.

NO "thank you" for the stone spirit changes, as you failed to address the main problem, that of mismatched tier and lack of value. As some suggested, disassembly would be nice.

NO "thank you" for the excessively long and drawn out mining and smithing. It further increases the feeling of "click once every five minutes and go read a book" that this game gives me.

NO "thank you" for not working on bringing everything else into line, such as fletching, crafting, and farming. If it requires a certain tier to wield, that is the tier it should require to make. It would be a great task to pull off, but it is necessary.

You made excellent progress redoing tiers in Mining and Smithing. You failed to fully do the same elsewhere. Boss drops need to be by tier, stone spirits included.

In addition to the above, a few changes could be made to improve the game: there are many items that are always lost on death, regardless of where, some of which are costly to recover in that case such as the urn enhancer. Others are simply tedious to recover, such as the ring of whispers and its set, and removing that trait would be a nice quality of life change.

I generally use a bond every year or so to check up on the game and re-earn my Quest Cape. I've used two in a row now, to finish the menaphos quests available. I'm not going to be using another for around a year. Looking forward to seeing what runescape does in a year. Hopefully, things change for the better.

Stone Spirits seem to be their way of preventing PvM Ore drops from replacing mining, but lack value themselves as they can only be worth less than their ores.

Just remove them from drop tables and add an "Ore Extractor" invention to the game which doubles ores mined but must be charged with invention parts/components as a way to sink them. Also using remaining Stone Spirits to the Ore Extractor adds charge (based on tier) and then just make it impossible to gain anymore.

Much more convinient and doesnt fill high level PvM monster drop tables with junk.


P.S: Also fix Custom Trimmed Masterwork degrading on slayer tasks already, mines already degraded 10% from only tasks and Elite dung*

Thanks, sort of, for these updates & the teams efforts. However I wonder when we will see anything about the promised bank rework. It's been what now, about 2+ years?

I note also that since the Arc came out, nothing has been done to address the HUGE amount of space needed for ALL the things from there. ALL those many products that we don't have 3 of this or 5 of those to complete, yet nothing has been taken into consideration of ALL those bank slots are needed so you can start off your next trip to the ARC with..

You have shown your worth & vision with the M & S rework that combines ALL bars & ores into a single depository. Why can't we have a repisitory for ALL of the Arc items, and now with POF, why not have a 'Farming Pack' for ALL it's products & by-products?. Theiving is another one we could find use in. Make them a dungeon requirement for points to get, or maybe help Invention use a blueprint to make.

I agree that the stone spirits as too frequent a drop, as opposed to the occaisional rune item that slipped through before & made a bit of cash. A fair proportion of the salvage is now almost unseen compared to the rune. At least with the salvage we can hi-alch it, but unless you want to actually mine the ores, then there seems to no point in them, so why not allow us to dis-assemble them at least.

Appreciate the GOTE changes, but would have liked to have seen a 'toggle switch' on it, like the charming imp, seedicide & herbicide items, which can be selected to turn on or off. particular items. A new button on the bottom of the bag box where you can just click on it to enable/disable, would be fantastic. Let's face it, atm we have to change to the armour tab to select the toggle switch, if we remember to, where as having it a a small button works better, IMHO.

I have yet to log in today, but will be totally miffed if the Shamans has indeed been taken from 500 down too 1 only. Is the farming one going to have the nests nerfed to a single willow seed, hmmm?

They should make NPCs buy them for less, just like they buy any other item for less than what they sell it for, and that way it'll balance itself. Except if they do that, the elitists in this game will whine to Jagex and/or quit cause they own tons of them and use them as currency, so Jagex wouldn't do that. They choose to screw the newcomers instead and the economy and to please these elitists cause they're one of their primary sources of income. It's that simple.
