To custom fit masterwork you degrade the item to 100% and that makes the item unaugmentable.

Edit - at this point above I had removed the gizmos from my Barrows Malevolent so I had no perked up PVM armour. So it was essential for me to augment the trimmed masterwork

I didn't force my way around anything. Using a masterwork piece to repair the item was the requirement from the game. They've just changed that requirement and made it free and that's not fair to the people who played this game properly and went through the proper steps to achieve what they spent over 250m on

In Jagex's defence they adressed the problem on reddit so you could have waited it out. Even tho I hate the fact they communicate faster on reddit then on their OWN forum.. ||
