I know it's a bit late to mention, but I was hacked over 2 weeks ago
(September 2nd is when I logged in and realised)
and could not find out why or how anyone got into my account.
I have been looking for ways to contact a JMOD to ask if I am able to request a login history log of some kind to see if my account has been logged in from from a weird place. (I was on holiday for 1 month in Europe, so if an IP from around there showed up it wouldn't surprise me; also why I didn't check up on my account)
Anyway, after talking to my brother and checking to see if he got hacked too because we use the same client, it seems he was unaffected, most likely because he had a 2-factor authenticator.
The only thing I have done different is download and use OSRS mobile, but I doubt that has anything to do with it?
I have never logged into a shady website, or a fake RS site to my knowledge, have a bank PIN but didn't have 2-factor authentication at the time.
Of course I have taken the necessary steps to re-secure my account now though: Authenticator, new PIN and new password etc.
Also, the hacker never removed any items that would be of no value; Void equipment was still there, no runes, herbs or potions were taken, just high value stuff like bandos etc. I found this very strange, as if they tried to take things for RWT?
I lost over 100m in gear if I remember correctly.
